read the directions...
Solid build, included extra hardware in case you drop / lose something, easy assembly, read the directions! bare board sitting on my desk - 60C at idle, up to 70C at load after installation in case with heatsink and fan - 38C at idle, 45C at load.

Fan connector doesn't fit fan connector on OP5, it did connect to any 5V pin.
Nice case, fan worked, heatsinks applied. Fan connector doesn't fit fan connector on OP5, it did connect to any 5V pin.

Case is good, fan is bad
Plan on replacing the fan. The pro's It exists for this board The punching and machining is good The con's The fan started slowing down and making horrible noises within 24 hours I could only find video instructions, no manual With a lack of other options for the Orange Pi 5 Max as of 9/25, I am happy that I can this case. The fan being crap out of the box is a bit disappointing though. After replacing the fan, it does work really well.

Rugged build. Some minor gripes.
Sturdy construction and built to be disassembled down the road if need be. I used this with the 5 max and the ports line up fine. If you have antennas that are mountable/detachable, they can mount just fine in the long vent slots, which gives you options. Less than great: - instructions are limited to a sheet that has a link to a three minute blurry video. It was enough but took a few views. - instruction sheet with the link referenced the orange pi 3, which had me worried for a moment. - recessed power button is probably for the best, but the SD card port is recessed far enough that I may need to disassemble the case or use needle nose pliers to get it out. - clearance for the nvme drive is adequate but the chips on my drive are almost touching the bottom of the case. Depending on the drive you use, this may make it impossible to wall mount. Not important to me, but may be to some. - heat sinks included seem to be for the 5 pro. The 5 max has a bigger processor and its raised, flat surface is not completely covered by the heat sink. - The sink for the memory is a touch too big but no big deal there. - The video shows them putting the small heat sink on what I think is the Ethernet chip. Again, a little small but okay. - The video doesn't show them putting a sink on the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth chip and one is not included, so I didn't. Sounds like a lot of negatives but for me the end result was fine. We'll see about cooling given the heat sinks but really that's my only concern.

Fan connector mismatches to the one on Max board
Fan connector does not match the mating connector on Orange Pi 5 Max board. This enclosure is recommended by Amazon when purchased. Now I do see Orange Pi 5 Max zinc alloy case on Amazon but can't tell if the fan connector matches the one on Max board. Otherwise everything else works and looks just fine.
