Just Wow! - First off, I should say that I just received my copy and I’ve never before rushed to write a review. The book is gorgeous - from the gold foil bees on the cover to all the beautiful color photos and maps inside. I have only read through part one and have skimmed part two so far but this is a truly impressive source of information. It’s well-written, concise, and easy to read (and hard to put down). I own a wine bar and we source honey from around the world (we currently carry Scottish Heather honey, Tupelo honey, a summer and winter Zambian honey, Lavender honeys from Spain and Provence, Orange Blossom and Acacia honeys from Provence, hot honey, and honeycomb). Having access to such a great resource is going to be great to help our team learn even more about the products we offer and to source new and exciting items! Review: A must have. 💛🍯 - I have all of C. Marina Marchese’s books. I love them all and this is my new favorite. If you are new to the world of honey or not, this beautifully illustrated book is a wealth of knowledge. I am opening a honey tasting room with local and global honey. This book is a great resource for myself, staff, and customers. It’s worth having in your library, and is also beautiful table book.

Absolute Treasure - A must have for your culinary library
The World Atlas of Honey by C. Marina Marchese is an absolute treasure for anyone who loves honey, bees, or simply learning about the rich and diverse flavors nature has to offer. Marchese, a Master Honey Sommelier, takes readers on a captivating global adventure, uncovering the nuances of honey from every corner of the world. The book blends science, history, and sensory analysis in a way that is both informative and delightful. You’ll learn not only how honey is produced, but also how terroir—like in wine—impacts its taste, texture, and aroma. The vivid descriptions, detailed maps, and gorgeous imagery make this a feast for the eyes as well as the mind. What truly sets this book apart is Marchese's ability to describe honey with the same depth and sophistication typically reserved for wine or coffee. Her passion for honey is palpable on every page. Whether you're a beekeeper, a foodie, or someone who just enjoys a spoonful of honey now and then, this book will inspire you to taste honey in a whole new way. I also appreciate the practical tips on how to conduct honey tastings and the insights into different honey varieties around the world. It’s an excellent resource for anyone looking to expand their palate or understand more about the fascinating world of bees and honey. Highly recommended for curious minds, food lovers, and anyone looking to deepen their appreciation for one of nature’s most remarkable gifts. A must-have for your culinary library!

Fascinating & informative & especially satisfying to find a meaningful inclusion of Australian honeys acknowledging the vast array of eucalypts & native plants - with more than just a nod to my childhood favourite, Tasmanian leatherwood! Giving me confidence that all aspects of this ‘atlas’ have been well researched & treated with respect. Get your hands on a copy - this has wide audience appeal :)

Some suggestions. Correction required under N.Z. honey: change Viper Bugloss to Vipers Bugloss. Add Clover Honey to the range of N.Z. honeys. Add Sycamore honey under both England and Wales. Additional information about the importance of Anton Jansa in the Slovenia section. On Page 257, move Tasmania to the southern side of Australia (it is not on the western side!). Mention the amazing cold-extracted Blackberry honey in Tasmania, sourced from wild stands of blackberries. A sentence of detail about the tutu plant and its location would be interesting. There are so many honeys mentioned that I would love to taste!
