This was a retro purchase. I used Brut when I was a teenager. It's probably 40 years since I had a bottle. Decided to give it a try and I still like it.

I've always loved Brut ever since I was a kid and my dad put it on. For a while I used the splash-on as an aftershave but that was too harsh because it's not formulated for the face. This aftershave has menthol and is formulated for the face. Very similar if not better scent than the splash, and a much better skin experience. A word to the wise, the alcohol content is STILL TOO HIGH in this variant compared to aqua velva and Pinaud Clubman. I recommend rubbing it between both hands, letting it air out for three seconds or longer, and then patting your face. I do wish Brut would add more propylene glycol (the ingredient that makes the face feel soft after shaving) or reduce the alcohol content. In either case, it's Brut. It will put hair on your chest and you can make this work in any setting: blue collar, white collar, sport, gym, night club, sports club, country club, a date, a ceremony, a reunion... It's Brut! It's a quintessential herbal/green smell that states "I'm a man and I aim to deliver". Stand up straight, raise your chin, relax your eyes and smile earnestly. You're a man and your confidence is everything.

The smell is amazing.

It's an after shave I have been using for over 30 years. It's a unique product worth every penny spent. The deal was good. Though the delivery was inordinately delayed, it was worth the wait.
