Fantastic model kit for a 10 year old boy! We have now purchased all of them
Fond memories as a kid myself over laboring over model kits, glue, paint, stickers etc. Now my son has lept into the model kit world and we have found these Airfix kits a great way to introduce him to modeling as a hobby. These kits are very well put together and the pieces fit perfectly and being that they assemble similar to Lego it was an easy fit for him. The stickers, however, are tiny and I had to jump in with a toothpick to help out. Overall though, these are fantastic and we have now purchased all available quickbuild kits that Airfix offers. My son is constantly asking if they have released any new ones yet. For the price the fun factor is off the charts good. Very recommended.

Our grandson's first model car!
We gave this to our 6-year-old grandson for his birthday. We thought it would be a great introduction to building model cars. He put it together with minimal assistance from Grandpa. He was so proud that he did it himself.We will buy more of the QuickBuild models!

Poor Packaging but a decent product
This was a gift for my 10 year old grandson for Christmas. I was withholding a review until I heard back from him to see how it went. I was skeptical at first because it was packed in a flimsy bubble bag and the modelbox was all crushed and scrunched inside. I pulled and straightened it out as best I could and wrapped it anyway and held my breath as he took it home. I wasn't sure if all the pieces were in there and not broken. But I heard back today that he was able to easily put it together and all pieces were there! So that's a good thing I guess. I had ordered another model from a different company and it came better packaged in a sturdier box, which I was able to recycle.

Good Deal
We gave this to our Grandson for Christmas and it was the very first thing he wanted to build, and play with. He loved putting it together by himself, and then he kept it with him all day long!!!!

My 5-year-old and I assembled it together.
It's a real nice project for a young child. The step-by-step pictures guide the build. I had to help squeeze the parts together a couple times. But, overall it's a real confidence builder for a kid!And the finished model looks exactly like the picture on the box.

Fun to build
My son, who is 13, enjoyed putting this together after getting his x box taken away and claiming he had nothing to do. Fun activity!

Easy to build and looks good even without paint
Airfix are usually good with their instructions and the ones with this QuickBuild Tiger Tank are easy for an experienced builder, but leave a bit to be desired for learners, e.g. the placement of the Wheels needs better explanation. The real Tiger Tank wheel arrangement was a nightmare, and this model shows it. The beauty is that you can dismantle various parts and wheels and move them to the correct position afterwards. I'm an experienced model builder and it took me an enjoyable couple of hours to complete. A great model for a beginner and a nice collector's piece. Recommended.

no paint, no glue ! well maybe a little glue !
Bought to build as a gift for my mother who has a thing for VW campers. I am not new to model making, but having seen others struggle i prepped for a battle (1 I saw took nearly 2 hours to get done). using lego style fixings technically the whole thing should be glueless, heres what i found, it all fitted together in around 20 mins, not needing to ever dismantel it i used spots of thin glue (pva white glue would do but would slow build) along long seams and for roof, but parts fit lovely and snap fit works. instructions are simple and if followed in order are easy to use, parts are pre coloured or clear, decal as they are are peel stickers. end result is a good model of a VW 1965 camper with vinyl/rubber wheels. who is it good for ? VW FANS, Children or anyone either new to or inexperienced with model building, even experienced modellers looking for a break from the 500 + piece hyper detailed models they're used to. infact its a fun build for anyone from box minimum age to elders though if you have large fingers or arthritic knuckles I would suggest good tweezers for some fo the small parts and stickers. Verry pleased with kit and moms over the moon with the result.
