JUST BUY IT!
Best toy ever! I should’ve wrote this review sooner. This thing holds a charge forever and keeps my boy cat entertained! I just click the button and all the animals are entertained for the next 45 minutes or so. It auto shuts off and winds itself back up. Honestly, it’s a must buy.

Great toy!
This thing is really cute- my cat loves it. And he's 17 yrs old and has some health issues but he's still able to enjoy playing with this toy every day. He likes when it's switched on, but he also plays with it when it's off, since the mouse still hangs low enough for him to reach. It's also super sturdy. I think that even if a bobcat were to play with it, lol, the string would break long before the clamp would come loose. So far we've had it for a month and there is no sign of a frayed string or damaged mouse toy. I don't have a lot to spend, but this was well worth the purchase. Oh- and it holds a charge for at least 5 days too, if not a full week. And it doesn't take long to recharge.

Best Cat Toy Purchase EVER!!!
My youngest cat, Bagel, loves the original hanging door mouse toy we have, but when a friend showed me her own version of this automatic mouse toy I knew we had to have it. Seriously this is probably one of the best purchases I've ever made. Bagel is high energy and he is obsessed with this toy. It wiggles and flops around, which catches and keeps his attention. He even plays with it when it is turned off. He can often be found sitting beneath it, meowing to ask that the toy be turned on for him! Lol My only cons: - string often gets a bit wild and ends up wrapped over top of the round cover on the motor and gets stuck. When it does, the motor keeps going and you either listen to it make a very annoying whining noise as it tries to run, or you have to repeatedly get up and unwide it. It never tangles or anything, just wraps a loop up and around so the motor can't move the string. Battery could be better. It does run for a cycle where it goes for period of lile 10-15 minutes, stops for a break and then turns on again. This cycles goes for about 2 hours before it will shut itself down and you will need to press the button if you want to restart the cycle. But the battery lasts only for a day or so under intermittent use. It can be a bit taxing to recharge it often, but Bagel loves it so I'll do it. Overall, definitely worth the purchase. I have recommended this toy to lots of family and friends.

Great cat toy
Very easy to "set up and take down". Battery lasts a long time, good price, cats enjoy it and it couldn't be easier to use.

Great toy but Beware
Great toy but do not leave it on unattended. The dang thing got wrapped around my cats tail somehow. She was screaming, all of my cats were freaking out, blood was drawn. It was a whole ordeal. We had to cut the line to set her free, and wait to cut the mouse and cord off of her tail once she finally calmed down (which gave me time to wash and bandage all of my wounds) It was stuck on there pretty tight, because of course she tried running away from it once it got stuck, securing the knot into place. I was initially worried that it broke her tail as there was a kink in it after I was finally able to cut it off, but luckily this morning her tail is fluffy and good as new. Only lasting damage are the gashes on my wrist, leg, foot and stomach... Anyway, 4 out of 6 cats love it, keeps them entertained. She was even playing with the mouseless string that remains this morning. Before last night I would have given it 5 stars. Knocking two off due to the possible hazard. Do not leave on if you're not in the room and prepared to act quickly.

I love this thing??
I have two cats -- one (3F) who's ~11 lbs and loves ribbons and her son (2F) who's ~20 lbs and loves wand toys. My boy will carry his iron man wand toy over to me, drop it at my feet, and meow at me multiple times a day because he always wants to play, but when both I and my roommate are working on our dissertations, we don't always have time to drop things and play. Enter this toy. We'd had a non-mechanized door toy that was basically a mouse on a string that hooked onto the top of a door, but my boy broke it within an hour of unboxing it. We had to jury-rig it so he could still play with it, but eventually it became too broken to use. Having a gigantic baby cat is not super easy because he has lots of youthful energy but also doesn't realize how big and strong he is. I got this toy honestly assuming he'd break it in a day, but it's been two weeks and it's still going. Both of the cats love this toy so much. Baby was a little scared at first because of the noise, but once mama cat went to check it out and started playing, he was all in. I turn it on, and they both come running. My ~20 lbs baby boy will grab the mouse with his teeth and back away, dragging it as far as he can, and the grip doesn't budge. We don't even have it on a door frame right now -- just the bit of the kitchen counter that juts out into the living room. Overall, 4.5/5 stars, but I'm rounding up PROS - stays where you put it. Even with a ~20 lbs cat pulling on the cord at full strength, it doesn't budge. However, it's still easy for humans to move around - entertains BOTH of my cats, even with their different toy preferences CONS - charger is a little finicky. I can't use my phone charger (also USB-C) but the charging cord we keep plugged in for their laser toy works just fine - THREADING IT IS SO ANNOYING OMG. I've done it once (incorrectly) and again (correctly) and if I never have to do it again, it'll be too soon. The C-hole is very tiny, and it's very difficult to get the end of the cord through it in such a cramped space. - the cord can get tangled pretty easily. It gets wrapped around itself and knotted up on the spool so it won't really work, and sometimes it'll catch itself on basically any item that's somewhere near it (shelf, chair, etc.)

It's a good concept... but in practice the toy can be dangerous. When I had it up my cat would catch it and run away with it but it's on an elastic so the toy would fling out of her mouth, basically scraping her mouth and nose on the way out.

Since the day we bought this, our cats have really enjoyed it. They have tons of toys that they never use. As soon as this unit is turned on, they are there playing and batting the mouse. They love the unpredictable movements. It is great that it turns off automatically because they don’t get bored with it. It is really helped stimulate them. I would really recommend it. It is slightly noisy, but this is the only negative comment. It is very well-made and stays charged for quite a long time.

Fun toy - my Maine coon loves it! The plush mice that comes with it are also great quality.

Engaging toy that both my 9 year old cat and 6 month old kitten adore. They don't always get along very well, but they DO play with this toy together! The movements are not too fast and it's erratic enough to keep them occupied. Here's hoping this can help with the morning zoomies when I'm trying to sleep! 4 stars because -battery takes hours to charge for about 80-90 minutes of use -did not include a clip to clip the toys on. Expects you to just tie them on which means you'll waste string cutting them off when you need to replace -does not fit on wide door frames. My house is old and has 8 inch thick door frames. I managed to fit it on a wall JUST BARELY though -plastic material seems a bit cheap, not sure how it will hold up over time.
