Pd to have programmed key fob does not work to lg will not fit in slot

Simply took to my favorite independent shop that specializes in European cars. Programmed without issue. >$400 less than the dealer!

As per the discrimination this should have worked for my Passat, towed my car to the dealership an was told this fob will not work. After 1000 bucks (if this fob was right could have been 400) I got the right key fob
