Q: Updated: Will these work on a queen size Murphy bed to hold it up all the way during the day? This would be new install; it doesn't have any now.

I put them in a RV queen or king bed and they hold it up with no problem. I'm pretty sure that they would probably hold of Murphy bed cuz there are pretty darn strong
