My Nitsch Pietus Maximus, despite being a premium and impressive amplifier, only has an unbalanced out. This allows me to keep my preferred cable (4.4mm) on my headphones, and just use and adapter to work with this amp, which has become my work desk favorite for the moment.I've done a bit of A/B testing, and it sounds just as good with this adapter as a start-to-finish unbalanced/stock cable. Recommend!

I have numerous IEMs with a 4.4 balanced connection that I use with my DAP. for mobile use, the extra power can be beneficial. At home though, a balanced connection can draw more power than needed. That's where the New Fantasia Adapter comes in. With this adapter, I can plug into a single-ended, 1/4 inch adapter reducing the supplied power to my IEMs. This prevents the ease with which they can be overdriven while not having to change cables on my IEMs. It also allows me to use my 4.4 headphones on my amps that only accept single-ended inputs.In summary, if you want to connect your balanced gear to a single-ended input then this is a great option. it is well made and does not degrade the experience at all.

Previously, I'd ordered a cable from these guys. Wasn't paying attention when I ordered, thought both ends were 3.5mm. Fortunately, they have this adapter. Maybe one day I'll need the 4.4mm, but in the meantime this will do nicely. Also, the sound quality is excellent..

This is the perfect adapter cable to connect my balanced headphones to my AVR when watching TV.So far NewFantasia cables has not disappointed me.There is not much to say, it works.The cable feels quality as the rest of the NewFantasia items feels for me.It clamps strong to my 4.4 mm balanced plug and connect fine to the AVR universal stereo female plug.Being a short cable I don't think it will affect in any way the quality of the audio.

This is a well made product. The walnut wood and gold finish looks classy, as does the dark cloth braiding covering the connecting wire. The adapter feels sturdy and will likely last a long time. Sound quality is good: I barely hear any degradation of sound when using it, although I recommend NewFantasia's other adapter over this one, available on Amazon. It's their 3.5mm male to 4.4mm Balanced female Headphone Audio Adapter Cable with 8 Cores 6N OCC Copper Single Crystal Silver Plated Wire, and it comes with a 6.35mm 1/4" adapter that can attach to the 3.5mm male end. So you get the same capability as this adapter under review, but imo the other one has crisper, slightly more transparent sound. It looks similar but has white braided wiring instead of black, and costs the same at the time of this review posting.

I have a few New Fantasia products, and just like the others, this one provides great value for the money and great sound quality. The connectors lock up firmly, and the cables are all lightweight and feel very nice. The walnut wood accent is a nice touch, but most importantly, the cores are all SPC and sound great. If you've already got a good cable and need an adapter, you can't skimp on the adapter, either. This one's great.

Well constructed patch cable (4.4mm balanced female to 6.35 unbalanced male). Perfect length for a small patch cable to connect your 4.4mm headphone cable to a single-ended output on your headphone amp.Functions perfectly - and the bonus here are the beautiful solid wood sections at both ends. Highly recommended.

This is a really nice adapter that is very well made. No loss of audio quality if you use a similar or better quality cable. The wood look is absolutely well done and a handsome addition.
