This stuff is sublime
I didn't eat Indian food until I was a graduate student working for a professor originally from Delhi who loved to cook. I was an immediate convert, and have always wanted to find a mixed pickle similar to the stuff he would make. This isn't it, but it's the best I've ever bought. The chunks of mango are large with very little seed husk, the limes and carrots and chilis are nicely cut and in good proportion, the addition of lotus root is unique from my experience but adds a great crunch. The spice blend is so fine -- hot, but not overwhelming, The fenugreek and mustard flavors are clean and clear. The bitter mango is nicely balanced by the sour lime. I'm not sure I'll need to buy anything else.I've read some of the other lower ratings, and many of them indicate the product came in a plastic jar. The product I ordered was shown in a can, and delivered in a can. I will order this again, and if I find that the quality changes, I will certainly update my review

I love this Achar
The product itself is wonderful. I have it with so many things...pizza, pasta, (oddly enough) subs. The product was well packaged and arrived very early. What more can you ask for.

Consistently Delicious Pickle- Achar Pachranga
I grew up in a small town which was about 25 miles from where Achar Pachranga is made. No surprise, it was one of the regular item on our dinning table. I was thrilled to find it on Amazon. This is a multi (5) vegetable pickle in oil with spices. What delighted me the most is that quality and taste is exactly what I remember. Highly recommended to add taste and flavor to your Indian meal. There are two similar brands on Amazon, please buy the one made in Panipat Haryana. Sanjay Saigal

Would be great but for the "edible oil".
We don't actually allow the sale of some cottonseed and rapeseed oils in the USfoods because they're not food. This stuff smells like rope when you open it...or OSHA.You'll see different labeling on this product: I assume for different markets...You may notget a can made for your country....Ingredients may vary.I drained the can and replace it with olive oil and caneat it...but don't feel exactly healthy about it. There is an olive oil based achar available hereand it's fantastic. Comes in a variety four-pack of smaller jars.

Exactly the pickle I was looking for
This achar is very much like the pickle offered in a lot of the Indian restaurants I've been to. It's a very flavorful recipe and not incredibly greasy. It's a heavy flavor for certain but I enjoy it, particularly with chicken. I love chicken.

Best pickle, bent can
This is, in my opinion, the best Indian pickle you'll find. When I open the can I transfer it to a glass jar and it keeps in the refrigerator for months. In fact, I'm not sure it ever goes bad. Some reviewers report getting a plastic container, but mine was the old metal can. Sadly, the can was dented. I reported it to the seller, but they said it would be fine. I sure hope so.

Too salty! Its bad for your health
Please, please, please don't waste your 18 bucks on these pickles. I threw away the container because it is not edible. It is so salty that it is harmful for anyone's health and especially if you have blood pressure problems. You cannot taste the vegetables. I've eaten pickles all my life and know the difference between good and bad ones. This does not even fit into the bad category. It is in the "worst" category. It is shameful that this product costs so much and delivers nothing good for you.

Favorite pickle
I like this pickle over any other pickle. There is a Himalayan restaurant down the street from me that has this pickle served in tiny cups for $3. I'm going to save so much by purchasing this from Amazon. That alone makes it taste so much better.
