Awesome!!
I’m a trackhoe operator by trade 27 years experience, and this is not a toy it is a 1/14 scale of the real thing it digs the same moves the same the controls are the same the only thing that is different is your not sitting in the seat so you can’t feel the terrain or the slope that an operator would feel. The future of equipment is moving towards remote operating where the operator can sit at one location and access different job locations remotely. I bought this so I could train myself to remote operation so when the time comes I will be ahead of the curve. That being said this thing is cool worth the money fun to play with but like all equipment it has to be maintained the hydraulic has to changed every 50 hours the tracks and undercarriage have to be inspected and greased. But don’t let the maintenance keep you from purchasing Toucan Hobby has your back the have detailed videos that show how exactly how to maintain this awesome machine. Toucan even made me a custom video to help me with an issue that I caused by pushing buttons on the radio control. They have the best customer service and I was able to do it all through text and video awesome. Finally this thing is heavy if you can’t pick up 50 lbs dead weight and carry it around you’ll need a dolly or a kart to move it. It doesn’t like digging through grass but with a ripper attachment it’ll dig through it so ground is hard if you have to use a pick ax when digging by hand then the ground will have to be broken up to dig through with the excavator. I hope this helps, it’s a big purchase but I don’t regret it I’m working on getting a front end loader and a skid steer and I will be able to handle any job in my backyard.
