OMRON Fuel Pump Relay R303-12V Replaces Omron Relay F8VF-BA

Ran a wire from the positive on battery to the 4 pin connector which I unplugged.. stuck it in the slot with the green wire with yellow stripe. 4x4 lights blinked the whole way home however it got me home when I was stranded. Good way to diagnose a relay problem before you remove the gas tank for no reason. Be sure to order a fuel filter with this! as it is usually caused by either a clogged filter or a fuel pump that is going bad and getting over worked. 2003 expedition eddie bauer 5.4L

This relay was exactly what I needed. I was having stalling issues and no check engine light. I took the rig to my mechanic who has a very expensive scan tool. He was able to pull a memory code of P0231. I was able to solder this relay into the circuit board of the central junction box (fuse block), saving the $400 not buying a new fuse block. Getting the fuse box out of the car and disassembled to remove the circuit board was more work than removing and re soldering in this relay. I am happy I chose to do this repair myself as it was very cheap, pretty easy, and only took 1.5 hours. Youtube is a great source for how to video.

I was very pleased with all of the packaging protecting this relay and keeping the pins from being damaged. I was able to replace the original relay on my 2003 Ford Expedition fuse box motherboard for the fuel pump and it works now after needing to create an oops connection with no fault to this relay.

Didn’t work for me but it could have been because of my poor soldering skills.
