Very good good machine, especially for the price, 1.2 ltr capacity and easy to add extras such as nuts, chocolate chips, etc. Simple to operate and easy to clean, it runs for one hour maximum at a time and produces ice cream that is too soft to eat straight away. But an hour or two in a container in my deep freeze, firms it up. Probably not as versatile or quick as the market-leading 2 litre Cuisinart machine, but it's nearly a third of the price and I am happily making great ice cream.

I bought this ice cream machine for my gelato-obsessed teenage daughter for Christmas. We made her first batch (Gianduja gelato) and I can honestly say that I'm blown away by the quality. The gelato is soft scoop when emerging from the machine but freezes up fully when left in the freezer. We couldn't wait and sampled some of it soft scoop and it was delicious.I did buy a really good gelato recipe book (Jacob Kennedy - Gelupo Gelato) along with quality ingredients and the results are insane. All made and frozen within the space of a few hours.Tonight we're making Fior Di Latte gelato to take to her friend's sleepover! Can't wait to sample it!This machine is great value for money and very easy to use. My daughter said it's her fave Christmas pressie ever!

Love that you don't have to know you want ice-cream 24 hours before you get it.A bit fiddly and messy. Plastic paddle could do with a redesign as ice-cream gathers in a lump when almost made meaning most is frozen but some is left VERY soft. Have to dismantle, scrape it off and start again.But in general, it's good for the money.

I have been considering whether to buy an ice cream machine for some time. My wife questioned whether I really needed another kitchen gadget, but won her over with my first batch of ice cream. It is really easy to use, no pre-freezing is required, and all my batches that I have made so far have turned out really well. It is a bit bulky and heavy, but other than that no real problem. If you like ice cream and experimenting with your own flavour combinations, then I would definitely recommend.

Not noisy, reasonable price but recipe book was limited in choice. Easy to use, easy to clean and sleek finish.

I need an ice cream maker so I can have diabetic ices. Happy. After getting a so called ice cream maker thet did not actually make ice cream, as all it did was whip up any ice cream you have made. Could just use your mixer!. I then bought a proper ice cream maker which only froze on the outside and still runny inside so returned it. Thankfully this IS a proper ice cream maker and also does what it is supposed to. I made some very nice ice cream and shall be experimenting with other flavours now. I recommend this one.

Selecting different modes and setting the timer is straightforward.The capacity is perfect for making a 1litre of icecream-the actually capacity is 1.2litre but I find if you start with about 450ml of milk and 450ml of cream it creates a good base icecream for adding flavourings or extra indulgent ingredients.ConsThe machine is a bit bulky, so it requires ample counter or storage space. It’s not a huge deal, but something to consider if you have a small kitchen.Not great at mixing clotted cream as part of the mixture, it slows the motor on the mixing arm and results are sporadic.Also need to finish the freezing process in the freezer to get the best results.Overall, I am very pleased with this ice cream maker. The convenience of not needing to pre-freeze and the variety of frozen desserts I can make far outweigh the minor inconveniences. If you love homemade ice cream and want a reliable, versatile machine, this is an excellent choice.
