Good sized mild sardines in olive oil. There’s a lemon slice in there but it’s very hard for me to detect the lemon flavor. They’re still great textured sardines, pleasant tasting, easy to eat, with a mild sardine smell and flavor, unlike other sardines I’ve tried that were too fishy, They have a good salt content, not too salty. You get what you pay for.

A delicious option! These sardines are very rich and definitely one you should try. The fine balance of the flavor of the oil combined with the intensely fresh feel of the sardines and the bright flavor of the lemon make for a delicacy at home! I have even purchased these to send as gifts when creating food-related gift baskets. If you think the sardines you have tried are good, then you want... actually need... to give these Portuguese sardines a try. You will love them!

A great product

This brand has the best taste, and good size and fresh sardines. The sardines are submerged in olive oil with one piece of lemon underneath.

I am not a sardine expert; however,,I have a few comments to make about these sardines. I think they are the largest I’ve tried and they have an exceedingly mild smoky lemon flavor. I think I’ve tried at least four or five other brands and other flavors. For someone new to sardines, I would recommend these. They have a very mild, if any, fishy taste. These might not be the best if you’re going to look for sardine flavor for salads. For the true sardine connoisseur, these might be too mild.
