SHAPERX Shapewear for Women – Honest Review (Size 2XL–3XL) I ordered the SHAPERX Shapewear in a size 2XL–3XL, and for reference, I am a UK size 20, 5ft 5 inches, and weigh 242lbs. Shapewear shopping can feel like a gamble at the best of times, especially when you want support without feeling like you’re being vacuum-sealed, so I went into this with cautious optimism. When I first took it out of the bag, I’ll be honest — I laughed. The garment looked tiny. Genuinely toddler-sized. My first thought was, “There is absolutely no way this is going over my hips.” As I started putting it on over my feet, that doubt only increased. The first 30 seconds were a struggle, especially getting it over my rather large derriere, and I was convinced I’d made a mistake. Then something surprising happened. Once it was past my hips, it slid on smoothly and comfortably, and I was genuinely shocked by how stretchy and forgiving the fabric was. The material is lightweight, soft, and breathable, not stiff or plasticky like some shapewear can be. Over my very large thighs, it felt supportive without cutting in. It sat comfortably on top of areas with fat and cellulite rather than digging into them, which is a massive plus. It smoothed the inner thigh area nicely and gave my lower body an overall firmer, more streamlined feel without discomfort. In terms of sculpting, I would confidently class this as medium support. It doesn’t perform miracles, and it doesn’t pretend to. It didn’t completely flatten my tummy, but it did make it feel slightly firmer and noticeably less jiggly, which is exactly what I want from everyday shapewear. I could still move, breathe, and sit comfortably — no constant adjusting or feeling like I needed to escape it halfway through the day. Around the back, it smoothed out my back rolls slightly, enough to improve how clothes sat without feeling restrictive. One of the biggest surprises for me was how it handled the bust area. I’m a 42E, and while this isn’t a bra replacement, it made my chest feel firmer, more lifted, and visibly smoother, which honestly made a big difference to how my body looked in clothing. Comfort is where this shapewear really shines. I could easily wear it for extended periods without feeling trapped or overheated. I genuinely believe that if the tummy control were any stronger, it would sacrifice that comfort — and personally, I’d rather have medium shaping with high comfort than aggressive shaping that I can’t wait to take off. The only real let-down for me was the pee hole. It’s there, but it’s not particularly well-sized or confidence-inspiring. I can’t see myself using it, as I’d be worried about messing up the suit or having an accident. I’ll be taking the shapewear down instead, which isn’t a deal-breaker but is worth mentioning. Overall, I would rate the SHAPERX Shapewear a solid 9/10. It’s comfortable, stretchy, supportive in the right ways, and genuinely flattering for a plus-size body. While the tummy control could be stronger, I think that would come at the cost of comfort — and for me, this strikes a really good balance. If you’re looking for comfortable, everyday shapewear that smooths, supports, and makes your body feel firmer without suffocating you, I would highly recommend this piece.

I’ve been eyeing these up for a while, but as I’ve been loosing weight wasn’t sure what size to get. I ordered a S/M and despite it looking like it could fit my sausage dog. I found the fit perfect (I’m a curvy 12) the fabric is very soft to touch and on my skin, didn’t make me feel too hot, which some shapewear can do. Sucked in the bits that needed holding in and the bust support was incredible, not squished. Very comfy and looked great whilst I was running around doing hair/make-up. I was concerned about the ‘flaps’ and that I’d catch a chill 😂 but they are really substantial and your modesty is completely covered. I didn’t try using the bathroom, only in it for a few hours, but I most certainly would wear this all day. I was very careful not to snag my nails in the fabric, and I’m already planning on ordering in more colours. I would advise you size down for the perfect hold to snatch your shape. It’s not the cheapest on the market but the cost is fine, as it’s a beautiful piece of shapewear that hopefully should last. It does say handwash, and I have a delicate’s/handwash cycle on my washing machine so I’ll update once I’ve washed and worn a couple of times.

Absolutely perfect! Its really thin and lightweight but packs the perfect silhouette hold, ideal for a chunky girl who loves hitting the gym! I wear it with a bra and it makes my boobs look amazing whilst keeping them in place. I've spent a lot of money on shapewear over the years from big brands and this one is by far the best. Perfect support, looks tiny but stretches and has a firm yet comfortable hold. Love it, just ordered another! Oh and the legs are smoothing and seamless so look great under leggings, too.

Really thin shoulder straps... the rest of it is comfy, supportive and not too much of a wrestle to get on. I did cut the crotch out a little more as it comes with a small opening but not worth the risk! Comfortable, warm, smoothing... don't expect miracles but I'm not uncomfortable at all. I just wish those shoulder straps were a bit wider as I can see them twisting and digging in as the day goes on.

Love this, would love to get another but I’m scared it will come with a hole/ rip in it :(

Very happy with this shapewear. It’s not too tight but still holds you in nicely, which is exactly what you want from a product like this. Comfortable to wear and does exactly what it’s meant to do.

I like this. I bought two different types, same brand. The other one was too tight and uncomfortable, thought should have got L instead of M. This one is M and fit so much better and is comfortable.

Terrible rash outbreak after a few hours of use.
