Fast NVME Enclosure.
Very happy with this NVME Enclosure. Depending on what NVME drive is being used I have seen Read and Write speeds past 7000mbs. Internal fan is quiet I can not hear it. Drive does end making some heat after a long file transfer but performance does not decrease. I do wish the cable it came with was longer and the only issue I had was the aluminum shim it came with was useless when trying to cool the NVME and needs some thermal paste between the lid and metal shim otherwise heat transfer is poor. plus adding thermal paste not only helps drastically with cooling the drive it also keeps the shim stuck to cover. I just ended up using a zip tie to hold a small 40mm fan on the front to cool drive. Soldered up a USB cable to power the fan with 5 volts off PC

Fast but noisy
So far this is working great on my M2 Mac mini. Performance is great with 3 GB/sec (24 Gbps) read and write speeds using my 1TB ADATA premium SSD. The fan is a bit noisy especially when placing it directly on the desk. The desk seems to amplify the fan vibration sounds but adding small felt furniture pads reduced to just a background fan hum. Update after a few days. Drive continues to be reliable with zero disconnects or problems with my Mac. However, I’m dropping one star as the fan noise is annoying when the rest of my system is completely quiet.

Worth the money
very pleased with purchase. The enclosure is very well made and installing the nvme 2.8 in it was simple. Had no problems when connecting to my laptop with supplied usbc cable. Fan is quiet

Thunderbolt speed
Great external enclosure, super fast, bus-powered, and has its own fan. After seeing the Black Friday deal put this within reach, I couldn’t resist having the ability to use external drives as quickly as my internals. I’m done with spinning drives, this is what we’ve been waiting for.

24/7 unnecessary noisy fan
Returned, replaced with fan-less designed.

So far so good.
I've only had this for a few days and so far so good. It comes with everything except for a 40gbps cable, at least mine didn't. You'll need to get a new cable to get the right performance. It's a little noisy because of the fan but I don't notice it unless it's quiet. I paired it up with the wd_sn850x and yeah it's fast. Before I replaced the cable it took about 90sec to transfer a 5gb file now it only takes 5sec for a 10gb file with the correct cable. I would've rated this device 5 star if it had come with the correct cable. I will update if anything happens or the performance starts to lack.

Worked well to begin but died in under 6 months of VERY LIGHT use (under 24 hours total)
Bought this about 5 months ago for a 2TB Kingston KC3000 drive (Read: 7000MB/s and Write 6000MB/s) Enclosure worked up until yesterday afternoon. I've used it a total of 5 or 6 times total (powered on less than 24 hours). Now it just flashes the activity light but the drive no longer shows up in windows. Confirmed it was neither an issue with the NVME drive nor the cable, tested on 3 different desktop PC's and 2 laptops (2024 Asus ROG G14). Also tried 2 different NVMe drives I had on hand but none of the 3 work. Have 8 different USB 4 cables as well, no change. Only other potential point of failure is the enclosure itself. I did reach out to the company to enquire about a warranty claim (the warranty details aren't listed on the product page as of the time of this review. If / when I hear back from this company I will update my review accordingly.

Nice replacement for a TB3 enclosure
This enclosure performs as expected. I bought it to replace a TB3 enclosure that had some compatibility issues with an Asus laptop with AMD CPU and it prevented a previously installed Ubuntu (24.04 LTE) from booting. The MAIWO enclosure with its Asmedia chip set works really well, problem resolved.

Pros: metal body, fast speed Cons: bulky, very noisy fan, bright blue led indicator

I love the simplistic tool free construction of this external SSD enclosure. The enclosure has a built in fan and it is thermostatically controlled by the board in the enclosure. No need to worry, as the device should sense when to turn on or off the fan. Very silent in operation so far. Speeds are very good, rated to 40Gbps and with the current Nvme memory I have installed, I am seeing speeds as fast as, if not faster than the installed memory in my M4 Mac Mini. The all aluminum enclosure should dissipate the heat quite well, but a note: the heat sink and silicone heat pad do not seem to make contact with the external case, so not sure how well the heat will be transferred for dissipation. So far, I am very pleased with the look and performatnce of this enclosure, and it sits very nicely on my Mac Mini.

Produto bem construído e acabado, digno de premium, usei um nvme de 1tb Samsung e consegui taxas ótimas, 3000 MB leitura e 1600 Gravação. Recomendo muito. Testes realizados no meu MacBook Air M4

I've just put an EVO 970 Plus 1TB into this unit and it's working fine. Used it as a recorder drive with an ATEM Extreme ISO and worked perfectly. Write speeds on my M1 Max (thunderbolt 4) were just under 1400 and read at just over 3000 as tested with AJA. Just remember that the fan makes just enough noise that if you're near a condenser mic, it'll pick it up. Fortunately the fan speed is very consistent so if you're using audio clean up software like Izopte, it'll get filtered. Only thing I would have preferred is that the cable end be right angled to make it sit better and out of the way.

Works, on thunderbolt 4 port to basic laptop nvme, movie transfer was ~1GB/s. Construction is okay.
