Fantastic laptop

This model came in about two years behind in Windows 11 semi-annual service updates. During some of the installation, the mouse pad / mouse froze. An external USB mouse was helpful. Once ALL updates to 25H2 and driver updates were installed the laptop worked as we expected.

The laptop arrived overnight and was placed in a lager plain brown box so no one knew it contained a laptop. Works super well. I properly could have chosen another less expensive, I wanted RAM, 1 TB of storage, My other laptop just died the day before and it really cramped my remote production. Thanks to the gods, I have all my work stuff saved in the cloud! But my personal stuff is on the other laptop. Took it in for diagnosis and repair just to migrate from one to the other. Then I'll probably gift it to a family member.

Came is a huge box, was handed directly to me by delivery driver, a first. Perfect condition, operating well, runs cool 40-59 range, and very quiet fans. Runs 109% on wireless but no delays and downloads quick. Video play back online is smooth. Touchpad responsive. Keyboard nice. Now, some minor cons. No hello we can but fingerprint button works well. No Ethernet port, and final is blue light reduction at night seems a bit less focused on display, but my spouse says no issue. Glad we purchased and of course delivered in 2 days! Took a little over an hour to download and install all the driver updates including new BIOS. v 2-7-25 Now noting frequent lagging, freezing during video playback, cursor just spins and spins and finally the video will play. Wireless speed is poor now, rechecked for missing software and drivers, rebooted my gateway, no change. Has become frustrating to use. Sending it back. Just too frustrating to use when you must wait for the link to open. My old wind 10 Chinese laptop built in 2012 starts videos faster than this dell.

I ordered this laptop with 32GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, and paid $630. When it arrived, it ran soooo slowly. I spent over a month trying to make it perform -- remove bloatware, etc. -- and no matter what, it ran slowly and the battery only lasted about 2-3 hours. Finally I looked on the original box and the label with the specs was covered with another sticker -- but if I looked closely, I could see they had actually sent me a laptop with only 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD. Now MAYBE it was an honest mistake, but it sure seems interesting that the sticker showing the fact that they sent me something valued at less than have what I paid were conveniently covered up by another sticker. Photo attached. Look closely and you can see the 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD. I'm returning it and going back to HP laptops. So disappointed that this happened with the Dell Store in Amazon. I thought it could be trusted, but clearly not.

I am more than thrilled with this laptop purchase. My previous Dell laptop was almost 10 years old, and I had started to run into issues (especially when doing things on the web). The new laptop boots up in under 15 seconds and the speed (both when I'm online and offline) is fantastic. The extra screen size (my old laptop had a 15-inch display, and this laptop has a 16-inch display with virtually the same footprint). The only thing I noted (which isn't an issue for me but might be for someone else) is that Dell chose to make the lightning bolt port the place where you put the power cord. Since I don't need access to a lightning bolt port on my laptop, it's not a problem.

This computer is a good buy I tried two HP’s and they would not work out of the box and I had no issues with this Dell. I have used it for gaming and for other streaming and just normal use and it has all worked well! The only issue that I have with this computer is it doesn’t have a number pad on the right.
