God of Malice (Standard Edition) (Legacy of Gods, 1) Review: Dark, intense, and wildly addictive — a strong start to the series - God of Malice (Legacy of Gods, Book 1 – Standard Edition) is not a “light” romance, but if you like dark, morally gray, high-intensity stories, this one delivers. The chemistry is immediate, the tension is constant, and the pacing is so fast it’s hard to put down. What really worked for me is that it’s not just shock value—the characters are layered and messy, and the story has a pull that keeps you turning pages even when you’re like, “I shouldn’t be rooting for this… but I am.” It’s dramatic, obsessive, and emotionally charged in that binge-read way. Definitely check trigger warnings because it goes to darker places, but if you’re into dark romance with a dangerous edge and a strong series setup, this is a solid 5-star start. Review: Dark - Definitely read the authors TWs at the beginning because this on is dark. If dark is your thing, then by all means, dive in. Killian and Glyndon are good characters, and I do like how Killian is written. There is a lot of spice in the book, but I definitely would have liked more of the plot, which was good. Overall, it’s easily read in one day.

Read the Triggers
I have to say this warning right off the back. Read the author's notes before you start to read this book. This book is intense and really catches people off. Even those who enjoy reading Dark Romance. This is a Dark Romance. This book had a weird hold on me until I finished. I actually bought this book at a bookstore at full price (shocking) while on an anniversary trip with my husband. Yes, I buy books while on anniversary trips. Anyways, getting off course. This book is intense to the extreme but for me who reads a lot of dark romance tropes it wasn't over the top. I read Haunting Adeline in a week. The author needs some editing here and there but it wasn't so much that it made me dnf. I actually shared a lot of quotes from this book to a Facebook message group that I created to share books in. (Hi Girls) Anyways, let's talk about the characters. I really like Glyndon even though her name really drove me crazy. How do you say it any tips (problems for those of us who read the books in physical not audio). I felt though she lacked some roundness in the way she was. I didn't get a ton of personality or history. It just starts and goes intense from there. Killian is a character that I hate to admit that I loved. I felt like I knew more about him then Gyndon and felt like it was off balance. Which made their relationship feel off balance in parts of the books. There were points in the plot that I was like this piece needs something. I wanted to poke them with a stick. But the smut scenes were in what word overwelming. But the good overwhelming. They made you like, "Holy Crap...." to "How is that possible?" to "Why do I like this?" Anyways, I really enjoy the book and need to read the next book in the series.

✨ 3.75 ✨
God of Malice was an entertaining and steamy dark romance book. I enjoyed the characters and romance, but there were a few subplots that definitely could have been more developed. This is the first book in the Legacy of Gods series and while the main characters of this book are the second generation of the Royal Elite series and the Lies & Truths Duet, those are not needed to be read before starting this one. I didn’t and I had no problem following the family tree and background of these characters. I would recommend though, checking the content and trigger warnings before reading. It is dual POVs of the main characters and has some amazing tropes like: enemies to lovers, boy obsessed, psychopath-good girl, and a dark bully romance. The overall plot was decent. There were some dark, intense, steamy and amusing moments. However, the storyline regarding the heroine’s friend was quite slow and just underwhelming. The twist and the ending were a bit anticlimactic as well. I will say, both of the main characters inner struggles and dilemmas were intriguing but were resolved too quickly. I personally just felt that there wasn’t enough discussions with their parents for both of them to accept and come to terms with their issues. Especially for the hero, his issue with his father was quite a heavy matter and there just wasn’t enough dialogue between them. The development and romance between the main characters was definitely dark but still very enjoyable. I loved the difference between them and how well they worked together. The hero’s level of possessiveness and jealousy was also just incredible. The smut was great as well and involved various kinks, which I liked. Both of the main characters friend groups were also great. The banter and relationships between all of them was just fun to read and I’m definitely excited for the next book in the series. All the little breadcrumbs of certain potential couples definitely has me intrigued. The last few chapters did feel a bit rushed and there were certain moments that felt unfinished, like how the relationship between the heroine and her brother changed after their argument. But the epilogue was quite pleasing and I enjoyed the cameos of the first generation characters. Overall, just an amusing read and a great start to the series.

Great dark romance
This has some dark trigger warnings so be sure to research it first, but I really liked the main characters. College, bullies, mafia connection, secret groups, and opposites attract!! The side characters were written well so Im looking forward to reading the rest of the series. There was a plot twist at the end that I didn’t expect whatsoever, but it also sets the book up for the rest of the series! The MMC is void of emotion which can make his actions hard to read, but the FMC has a connection with him that quiets his mind and stay in control. Definitely adult and spicy, BUT there is a lot of story. Read the synopsis and dive in! Off to book 2!

Good book could not put it down. Only took me two days to read and I worked both days. I like the darkness of it and the enemies to lovers. I've never read this kind of book but it was really good.

Let me just start with this..LOVED IT! 😍🥵😏 And I don't get why so many didn't, then wrote bad reviews. Did You Not read the description of the book before getting it? Did You Not, read the content warnings either? Did You Not, read the Trigger Warnings if you have any? If after all that you still want to read this book..well thats awesome 'cause this book is totally worth it! Enemies to lovers. Yes he's her enemy..yes he's evil and all that blah blah blah. lf you didn't already know ..fair warning they become lovers. 🙄 Also, Don't shame anyone's kink just 'cause it ain't yours..that's rude! Sorry for my ranting there but I hate when people make bad reviews. You dont like it ..thats okay but we dont need to know and its disrespectful for the hard work of the author. Anyways...I Loved their story, start to finish. It isn't easy, nor sweet but still hot, dark and just as amazing! And the fact that this girl can tame that beast..Well Helloooo Queen! 🙌 And that ending..was perfection! Can't wait for the next book Must get this series Now Enjoy 😉
