The original Kohler seats lasted twenty four years. Eventually, the mount point insert wore and the seats became... challenging.The new seats were easy to install, very stable, and the quick release features does make cleaning easier. The slow close feature is nice. No more slamming toilet seats in the middle of the night. Typical Kohler high quality.

Bought one and for low 30's it is a great deal. Bought a second. The attachment to the bowl is a bit different for me, but it allows for minor placement adjustments. Overall simply a great deal is you want a quality toilet seat and slow close.

It seems a good seat. Only problem I had was with the attachment hardware. It has this strange flexible toggle bolt arrangement with no instructions. Be careful to ensure the screws are started in straight as it is hard to tell the way it wobbles about. It is easy to cross thread and if it starts to bind don't force it. Also don't use a drill driver bit on them. All considered I liked the older style hardware with larger nylon nuts and bolts better. Once installed it is solid once you get it screwed down. Slow close works good. Fits toilet well.

I was hesitant to buy an open box for a lot less but so happy that the item was in great shape and condition and definitely still brand new.

I've tried a couple of other seats, and they always shift around. This particular one has a different style of mounting that seems to hold it in place very well. It's also a slow close, which I like.

You may say it's just a toilet seat after all utilitarian and ordinary. If anyone in your family has knee issues or arthritis this seat is terrific for them. May I add it is easy to clean and has a pop off feature and nice bumpers.It is is also easy close so no banging or noise at all. Good night feature.

I bought two of these seats based on the mostly good reviews. However, about a month after using them, I am regretting my purchase. For starters, the tabs that cover the bolts that connect the seat to the toilet are so flimsy that my 1-year old daughter easily pulled them off. She then went on to hide them someplace around the house, so now both of the seats have exposed bolts. By the way, these tabs also came broken on both of the original seats I ordered, but replacing them was easy through Amazon. The second major defect with the construction of these seats is that the lid portion is poorly attached to the seat. My 1-year old was able to shake the lid loose so that it actually came apart from the assembly. The lid is actually held on by a plastic attachment on one side. Needless to say, I have never been able to get the lid back on properly, moving it one way or the other just a little too much dislodges it. The only good thing about these seats is that they look nice and the contoured inner seat feels good. However, if you have kids, or more than one person using these seats, I caution you to look for something more sturdy. No pun intended, but the quality of these seats is truly crappy.
