It's thorough. Heavy reading. A page a day is plenty to comprehend. But has one of the best explanations of the Trinity I ve ever seen.

This has been a huge help, if only to show me “how much I don’t know!” It also helps me understand why what “I don’t know” matters. The text is as succinct as one could hope for considering the complexity of what it is being discussed, and explains itself in a way that I can follow. Highly recommend this book.

I ordered this book, planning to read a page daily, as a lead-in to my daily Bible reading/quiet time. I have found that I can’t read just one page. Even though I don’t want to go too fast, because I do want to really let it soak in, I can’t help reading at least several of the “dailies” each morning. While the book is in no way “dumbed down” (there are terms I need to look up and a good bit of Greek and Latin), DeYoung explains them in a way that is understandable, yet pushes me to ponder and think deeply. I can see how this book will delight a broad range of readers.I love the hard copy book… highlighting, making notes, and looking up a lot of the references to make additional notes. I’ve not been to seminary, but I love to read and study the Word. This book is adding depth and joy to my understanding and meditations on the Lord. I find myself thinking about what I’ve read throughout the day with wonder and often tying it in with my Bible reading for that day. What a treasure!

A great way to learn systematic theology in small doses. Sometimes it can be overwhelming to read a systematic theology. This one however can easily be read along with devotions, is in pretty clear language and it very readable.

With all the endorsements my review is hardly needed. However, wonderful book on church doctrine.Deals with topics such as gender, with respect, biblical knowledge, and authority.Highly recommended as an overview of theology without the denominational coated message we may receive in church.
