Q: Will CurveCorrect work on very thick nails? On the big toe, mine has curved into a high-domed "U" shape...on it's way to an "O"?

I have thick nails and a fairly good U shape. I am currently ordering a second set of these. My last order was in 2013 so 10 of them lasted me that long. I wear them until the nail grows out and then I am good for a while. My nails have always been curved, it is just me. I end up using these winters all winter usually and then summer I am good again. For the thick nails I do file the tops of my nail down so it is thinner, not sure if this is correct, but hey if it works, it works. I always make sure it is on good and let it dry over night. The next day I do put a few costs of clear nail art sealer on it to protect it from moisture and I can wear one usually 8-16 weeks this way before it will come off and the glue come loose. Follow the directions, make sure the nail is rough so it adhears the best. These do work great!

Q: My nail problem is with the 2nd toe on both feet... will this product work on smaller nails, or only the big toe?

To our Amazon customers, We previously offered the advice below in response to this question. However, in an effort to reduce customer frustration when modifying and trying to apply the standard toenail brace on toes 2 through 5, or nails having unique characteristics, we no longer recommend modifying the standard brace. CurveCorrect offers a variety of braces having different tension levels, a far better alternative for individuals with nails that exhibit more or less curvature, width or thickness. The application however can be rather difficult due to the much smaller size of the brace and the toenail itself. The smaller toenails require less force to correct. You will need to narrow the brace, removing about 30% to reduce its stiffness. The brace cuts easily with scissors. Please contact us if you have questions about how to do this. Q: Is this something that you have to continue to use forever? or once your nail shape is restored will it stay without using these braces?

I’ve read that one of the main reasons for “pincer” toenails (toenails that curve into a “u” shape) is because we are not putting proper weight on our big toe and therefore, the toe does not have the right weight distribution or pressure that is required to keep the toenail flat. This causes the nail to deform. My theory is that as long as we continue to walk this way (I walk with my weight on the outside of my foot) that we will continue to have the deformity. My guess is that the application of the “Curve Correct” should have to be repeated as nails continue to grow inward over time. Unless you can change the way you walk by consciously redistributing your weight to the big toe, the problem will continue to rear its ugly head. Thank goodness for Curve Correct! It works like a charm.

Q: My pain stems from the lower base corners of the big toes. Can this be applied that far down?

Hi,Yes you can apply it anywhere you like however we recommend applying it in the center since the goal is to correct the curvature of your toenail along it entire length. Applying the brace centrally will ensure the whole nail receives an equal amount of force.CynthiaCurveCorrect

Bad quality, a waste of money

The plastic sheet doesn't stay glued to the nail. It falls off before creating an effect on the nail.
