I couldn’t get the washer to fill quickly. Before I replaced the control valve I checked the valve filter. The filter was clogged and not reusable. I installed one of these inexpensive filters and the washer filled up normally. Can be used in either hot or cold inlet.

I bought these to put on my new washing machine. I have so much iron, than a month after doing laundry, my water flows in the washer like a trickle. So I turn off the water and take the hose off once a month and rinse the iron off of this, and my water runs fast again. It makes life so much easier, catches almost all the iron. Perfect.

Got these for my washing machine hose as recommended by the maintenance man.

While I wait for someone to change this in the washing machine, I used one for a different purpose. I have a carved stone Indonesian water fountain outdoors where the flow hole from the basin to the well where the pump is located was always clogging or letting in debris. I emptied and cleaned the fountain, let it dry, and used an all weather sealant to adhere it to the stone, which worked really well. I mean, it's on there. Now I just need to spray it off to clean and it keeps all the gunk from flowing through to the pump and messing up the water flow. Brilliant use of this little thing, and I'm sure it will do just as well on my washing machine. Well made.

Excellent water inlet valve filters that fit Whirlpool machines as well as many other brands. We have well water on our property and even after it goes through our water filtration and softening systems, there's still a bit of silt; so I try to clean the inlet valve filter at least quarterly. It's a much quicker job with these easy-to-remove filters, and with 20 of them on hand I won't have to buy any for a few years!
