The stepladder is solidly built, but not over-heavy, considering that robust design and construction, however, the round side rails nearest the user are left free to rotate, and I find that a bit disconcerting when using the steps. The other thing that continually catches me out when using them the very strange tread spacing, with the bottom tread MUCH closer to the floor than is expected, compared to the other three spacings, tread to tread and tread to platform. When coming down the steps, the effect of this is a tendency to 'jar' the user's neck when the back foot meets the floor earlier than expected - it has caught me out several times now. The stepladder could have been usefully made a little taller, extending the 'legs' by just a few centimetres to raise the bottom step to eliminate this 'foible'. A little extra cost to cover the material needed would have been worth it (in my opinion). Still, a well-made product that will last a long time and give good service.

I am very pleased with these ladders apart from the tray which is clipped to the top. I had to return the first pair I bought as the tray had been badly damaged in transit. A replacement set of ladders was despatched and they arrived very quickly. However the same thing had happened to the tray but to a lesser degree so rather than return them, I decided to keep them as I needed to use them straight away. I suggest that a lot more packing be applied to the top of the ladder or alternatively, the tray be removed from the ladder and packed seperately.

These were the lightest 'handrail' ladders I could find - for an elderly lady with arthritis in her hands.Although I thought they were light, she found them cumbersome, awkward to handle, and would have preferred wider treads for stability. They also require more storage space due to the handrails.The product is just as described and seems well made. - but if they are for an elderly person, my advice is to let them try them in a shop first - to see if they are truly suitable for their requirements!

THIS STEP LADDER IS FIRST CLASS, MY HUSBAND IS DISABLED AND CAN-NOT MANAGE TO REACH THE CUPBOARDS WITH A SMALL 2 STEPS LADDER THIS ONE HE FEELS SAFE ON BECAUSE HE HAS THE HANDLE AT THE SIDES TO HOLD ONTO, IT ALSO HAS A TRAY AT THE TOP IF YOU NEED TO PUT YOUR PAINT TINS ETC: ON, IF YOU NEED A BIGGER STEP LADDER THIS IS THE ONE TO BUY.

Being somewhat elderly, both my wife and I are wobbly on ladders, makes it difficult to change light bulbs! However, these steps are ideal, allowing us to steady ourselves on the 'handle' and use two hands at the job. Very lightweight, so the wife is not depending on anyone else to carry them either. Good product!

A must for DIY - very stable and a well made product. I have an aversion to heights, but even standing on the platform to paint a 9'6" ceiling they were very solid and inspired confidence. The paint tray was a godsend at the perfect height.Wish I had invested in a pair of these years ago.

Fantastic lightweight ladder. Had for some time now and has been a godsend as it's so easy to carry around from room to room and has the tray at the top which folds down flat for storage which is great.

Lightweight, robust and with many safety features. I can reach right to my high ceiling with this stepladder and still feel comfortable because of the handrails. The plastic tray is a bit fiddly but stows away flat. Would definitely recommend this product.
