Last year in Japan, someone gifted me some Umeboshi from a local shop. It was the first time I tried it and it was so addictive! But I found it difficult to find in my local market in the US that used near same salt percentage and was prepared similarly.These have a bit different flavor and are much larger than the ones I had before, but I think this really hits the spot! Am so grateful this is available here and this seller takes care to package these 🥰I love to eat mine with congee. If I want it a bit less salty (because I’m usually tempted to eat two), will soak in water for 10-15 minutes and it’s perfect.

My first time trying these, the soft wrinkley ones, that are pretty much paste with a seed - I smelled them, but they taste nothing like they smell...get a bit in your finger, roll it around on your tongue...sour & salt okay, now try a larger portion..okay after all. I cannot wait to use it on rice in rice balls. Next I am getting the other type of umeboshi plums - the crunchy ones..just imagine that salty, sour with a good crunch!!!👍🏻

These taste like how they should taste before other companies ruined the taste with MSG and preservatives.So glad I found these.

These umeboshi are nicely packaged in a sturdy resealable plastic pouch. They are very salty (more salty than many available options) as explained in the description, but they can be soaked a while before using to lower the salt content. The flavor is nice and strong, and the texture is as expected. Overall, these seem to be good quality umeboshi.
