Just as intended, easy to install.

I know Mopar accessories are always very expensive but I will say, the fit and finish is phenomenal. Easy to install and strong but lightweight.

Although expensive the other option was a new rear bumper with a tire carrier mount on the bumper. The guys that did our mods (including a 2” Mopar lift, retractable boards, bumpers, winch, LEDs, etc, & 35s) did not reinforce the tailgate. Jeep says max weight w/o kit is 85 lbs. The 35s weigh 120 lbs. Before installing we had a lot of tailgate twist and noise. Afterward, silence. I also installed the oversized tire carrier, didn’t modify the break light, used supplied tire bumpers.

I installed an oversized wheel and tire on my tailgate and had a lot of rattling issues. This bracket solved all my problems and took probably a half hour to install. I highly recommend this product!

More or less works. Looks fine. Costs way too much for what you get--it's not better than an aftermarket knockoff.Not sure if I really got an OEM part or counterfeit. The given fasteners don't match the instructions. I was missing retention washers, given 5 washers with no apparent purpose, the tire bracket bolts were too long (they fit, but will probably interfere with aftermarket parts that fit to the inside of the door), and the hinge bolts are cheap allen heads rather than torx. The powder coating is of also questionable quality, it attracts dust.

Install went easy, everything aligned up with factory bolts. Haven’t been disappointed with any Mopar aftermarket parts I have purchased. Definitely would recommend

This is based on my experience only. The install was super easy. Mopar’ s instructions were simple and came with pictures. Very nice! It does appear to add support to already hinges that remain in place.Pros: It’s OEM and Mopar made it simple to install (I installed it with the Mopar tire mount for larger wheels & tires)Cons: The torque settings seem a bit over the top for the Allen Hex Head Bolts.The cardboards shims are too weak. (Recommend using paint stirring sticks see below)After I installed it, I had to go back and raise it with paint stirrer sticks under the gate to accommodate my 110-lb spare. (I’m running 18X10 Fuel Trophy wheels and Geolander 35s AT with a combined weight of 110-115)The write up and the descriptions indicate this will support such tire weight. In my case, I had it readjust the bracket afterwards. Not a big deal. Mopar includes cardboard shims.All in all, It works for now. Time will tell if it will stand up. The only other option is go with a hinge replacement setup like EVO has or, go with a bumper mount spare tire mount.
