Went lunch and came back to log in to my computer and my password wasn't working. Wasn't the password. Keys FN, B, N, Delete, and Num Lock quit working. Backlighting control died. Tried rebooting and plugging into several different USB ports but NO WORKY! Grabbed old Keyboard and wow! Everything worked again! Unless you like troubleshooting garbage, I'd avoid this keyboard, save the return shipping cost, and frustration. Pretty pricey for junk. Review: Great Keyboard - If you are a Mac user gone to Windows. Or you just enjoy the Mac style keyboard, this feels just as good if not better. And it has a backlight which I really appreciated! Bought this for work because my mechanical keyboard was getting too loud, this is perfect.

Keys not working right after 3 months
This is a great keyboard. ||I love the feel of it, the low profile, the keys feel good to type with and for the most part it is very responsive. After 3 months of light use the shift key that is accessed by the left hand is having an issue. If I don't apply just the right amount of pressure it will start adding a character to my typing. (Example|: |||||||||||||.) All of the |||||||||||||| characters in the writing of this review were created when I was using the left hand shift key to type a capital letter or access an alternate character or were generated on purpose by holding down the left hand shift key. I have loved everything about this key board until now... when the left hand shift key started acting up. For the price to have an issue develop this soon gives me great pause... what else will go wrong in the future. The last keyboard I had that came with a computer I bought is still functioning after 10 years and it was only $25. This one is almost 4 times that much and is having problems after 3 months. Come on, you would think that the quality, workmanship and dependability of a product as commonly used as a keyboard would be second nature by now. To get a keyboard that would develop a problem after only 3 months of light says a lot to me. I will be returning this keyboard as soon as I can get another brand of keyboard to replace it. The old one I mentioned above has been given to my daughter and is not accessible to me any longer.

Great keyboard, imperfect back-light
The keyboard is nice, weighty, and of solid build. The feel of the keys matches that of the original Apple keyboard better than most high end laptop keyboards in my opinion. I've had no issues with any odd behavior from the keys (as I've seen in some reviews) My biggest complaint is the back light, more so the amount of light that escapes the under most of the keys, making it look lower quality than it is (at least from my viewing angle). The back light is also lit unevenly, not to the point that you can't see the keys in the dark but it's noticeable. Aside from that the 'fn' key is in an odd place (above the backspace rather than beside the left alt and windows keys) and the instructions are for Mac, while there are some key combos printed on the inside of the box (just inconsistent is all). But these are minor gripes and nit-picks for sure. Bottom line, if budget isn't an issue this is probably the best chicklet, backlit, wired keyboard you'll find (there just aren't a ton of options) but it isn't perfect. I'm keeping mine, I'm certainly happy enough with it. But I would feel better about my purchase if it were closer to $80 (who wouldn't). If they tighten up the back light and make it more even then it'd be worth the $100.

cheap-feeling keys and non-functioning Windows and alt keys. don't bother.
This is pretty well covered by some of the other reviewers, but I wanted add my voice to support theirs: - General feel, sound, and tactile feedback of the keys are far from the apple keyboards that this is supposed to emulate. They charge Apple prices, without delivering the Apple quality. - I understand the "feel" and response of a keyboard are highly subjective, but this keyboard is also functionally defective. They took their mac-layout keyboard and decided to print the windows logo on the key that is normally the CMD key. Guess what? Those are two slightly different layouts, and this keyboard doesn't work on Windows! When you press the windows key, the OS interprets that as an "Alt" key press, and vice versa. Definitely not worth the money they are charging for this keyboard. It looks OK, but that's it.

Owned since Oct. 2019 / As a self employed Systems Administrator / I beat KB's into the ground
I love my Matias Keyboard. Frankly, I don't understand the number of negative reviews. As stated above, I do Systems Administration for small businesses. For over 40 years it isn't uncommon I'm tapping away 16+ hours a day. For a Keyboard to withstand the abuse I hand out for over 5 years, still working flawlessly (nearly perfectly except for the missing 0/. key-cap). I knocked off the 0/. key-cap a number of months ago repairing a PC & I'm seriously tired of looking at it as it reminds me what a stupid act it was. While moving a desktop my slipped & the Mid-Tower Desktop (guessing around 30 lbs). dropped "full force" on the Matias KB & the key-cap was literally torn off. I have no complaints at all with mine. I am truly surprised at some of the reviews. Was it simply dumb luck" I don't know. What I do know; I'm ordering another one for me & another for my son's new system. I can only hope Matias has ironed out past manufacturing SNAFU's

Being a long time Mac user, I found the mechanical style keyboards that come with PCs hard to adjust to. I wanted a PC keyboard that was like my Mac one and I found it in the Matias. It is a wired unit, which is what I wanted, and also has backlighting, something Apple never got around to adding on theirs. Matias mainly do Mac keyboards and do a wired, backlit board for them too, which is handy since Apple have decided recently that wireless keyboards are all they're going to provide. I'll be buying a Mac one too when my well worn unit finally needs replacement.

Good quality build to match with Apple keyboard. But the cable feeling a bit cheap that let the wow factor down when you buy 3rd party product. And hope will get better one

unfortunately for a great looking product and unsure if I received a faulty one, but the keys were overly sensitive. just resting the fingers on the keys was enough to type the letter etc, aka ghost typing!

I had to replace a faulty keyboard under warranty. Service was prompt and painless highly recommended-
