Nice to have so much space availale.
I've owned this drive for a few months now and barely made a dent in the amount of space I have left. It's nice being able to just connect this up and offload stuff. File transfer speeds are quick and I've had zero issues reading or writing to the drive.

Excellent price and performance
This SSD is really good. Performance and speed as advertised and still considerably cheaper than competitors (e.g. Samsung and Sandisk). I bought it after buying one of the really cheap unknown brands here on Amazon, which died after a year.No complaints after 2+ years.

Over $400 DOWN THE DRAIN!!!!!!!!!
First, I apologize for giving this one star. Amazon won't let me post a review unless it has at least one star, and I REALLY want to post this review!I bought one drive, and it SEEMED to work fine. I don't trust SSD disks because they tend to degrade with use(But THESE were supposedly NEW, AND SHOULD LAST MORE THAN A FEW WEEKS), so I decided to get another like it, to backup my result on the first drive, just in case. It showed trouble since day one, but I decided to try to improve things, and I got the WHOLE thing to work! All seemed to be going fine! One day, I found that the second drive came up BLANK! It was as if NOTHING was on it! I even tried it with another bay, and it did NOT work. So that disk is BAD!NOW, I am trying to back it up to an HDD. I noticed that some directories took a LONG time to come up, on the source SSD, that SEEMED good, which was weird. I am now on my third day of running a backup. It is file based, and so one day, though still SLOW, was reasonable. THREE is LUDICROUS! The last estimate was that it would take 2410 days!!!!!! That is almost SEVEN YEARS! Luckily, this is sporadic, so sometimes it DOES run fast, and sometimes it is ABSURDLY slow, so I am STILL trying. At one point yesterday it said I had only 3 HOURS to go, and it was over half way done.Anyway, long story short, I am not buying any such disk from amazon again, and if I decide to get the next one from crucial(DIRECT FROM THAT COMPANY), they better hope I notice NO problems, or I will write them off as a supplier, and INSIST that they give me a refund.BTW I did all this to consolidate all of my stuff. The info was written ONCE simply to delete dups, and organize things, and it took up less than HALF the disk! So far, every drive I have seen like this has several chips that store the information. Maybe they simply got a bad batch of chips, but they should have tested them. The amount of data written to the 4TB drive was only about 1.8TB!

Affordable and Reliable 4TB Storage Solution
I recently purchased the Crucial BX500 4TB SSD and wanted to share my experience so far. Here’s a breakdown of its performance and features:PerformanceAlthough I’m not sure how to measure the exact read/write speeds, the drive has performed excellently in terms of loading times and file transfers for my needs. It feels fast enough to handle everything I do without any noticeable delays, whether it’s loading games or moving large video files.Installation and SetupThe installation process was straightforward. The drive came with all the necessary cables. I did format the drive during setup, which was quick and easy, and everything has been running smoothly since.ReliabilityI’ve had no issues with reliability so far. The drive has worked perfectly, and I’ve received positive feedback from more tech-savvy friends who recommend the Crucial brand. I’m confident in its performance.Build QualityThe physical build of the drive is solid. It fits neatly into my PC case, and I’ve noticed no overheating issues, even when I’m running games and streaming simultaneously. It stays cool under load, which is a big plus for me.Value for MoneyAt the price point, the 4TB capacity is a fantastic deal. Compared to other brands, this drive is more affordable while still offering great performance and reliability. For anyone looking to expand their storage, this is an excellent choice.Overall ImpressionI highly recommend the Crucial BX500 4TB SSD for anyone looking to boost their storage capacity. Even if you don’t think you’ll need 4TB, Crucial offers other sizes that can fit a variety of needs. Whether you're a gamer, content creator, or just need more space, this drive offers great value for the price.

Great Quality at a Great Price!
4TB SSD for just over $200, not a bad deal at all. Nice performance and great quality. No issues with the build, although I was surprise it came unformatted. Works like a charm and was a much needed upgrade. Would definitely keep it in mind for future SSD needs. Have used crucial many times in the past for drives and ram and have never been let down!

Great Value
I'm trying to do way too much on my old laptop. There never seems to be enough storage. This drive is an excellent value. There are a few of things you should know.1. The recommended software didn't work for me. I had to find something else that could handle 4TB.2. Even with alternate software you You can't set this drive up as a single partition. You'll need to go into disk management to set up the last 2 TB as a functional drive. This is not an issue with the drive itself, but as I understand it, the Windows operating system. Windows has a 2 TB limit without some special help. In the past drives I've purchased came with all the software you might need. This one did not. That is why I only rated it at 4 stars.
