So much stuff to make your own doll clothes! The amount of fabric and accessories for the price is amazing. I have compared many of these doll clothes design kits and this is by far the best bang for your buck! The dolls and mannequins both have the back where you can "stuff" the fabric in before you sew it. My daughter has been wanting to make her own doll clothes using construction paper and tape so when I saw this i knew she would love it. It might be a little challenging to sew the pieces (she is 6 years old) so i will have her design them and I can help with the finishing touches like sewing it all together.

This is awesome. My granddaughters loved it and played with it for hours.

Really impressed, it came with a ton of supplies and had a booklet with instructions on making some of the dresses. This was better than some of the more expensive sets and really a great kit to getting anyone into sewing, for making and repairing things. Really valuable skill and excellent way to get started.

Bought as christmas gifts for my granddaughters. They love them and have created some cute outfits. The NEGATIVE: the designs CAN NOT be made permanent because there is no velcro or other binding to hold the designs together--a real bummer. What little girl wants to design an outfit and not be able to keep it and use it on her Barbie doll? The instructions say to tuck the fabric into the dress form and then to disassemble it after designing it! Major design flaw! However, the kit DOES include lots of fabric and designing implements (beads, ribbon, etc). The grands do like it, but it would be much better if the designs could be made permanent. My daughter says she will get some velcro or thread so they can be made as whole outfits.

My 12 year old granddaughter has a style of her own. Not a style I care for but it's not about me. I bought this for her so she can practice making clothing to match her style. Who knows, maybe some day she will have her name on a line of clothing that she designs! She seems to really like this. She couldn't wait to call her girl friend so they could start designing clothes for the Barbies. I'd say it was a hit! Grade 6, 12 years old. But I can see older kids liking this too. I wouldn't recommend it for younger kids, but I did see reviews where they liked it too, so I guess it depends on how creative the kids are. I say, take a chance and buy it!

The directions are not good. The tape is really hard to use. Once you get it apart (which is hard for the adult) and then it rolls back up on its self. I got annoyed as a grown adult. My partner watched me doing this with the 6 year old and ask "what age did they say this was for?" I think using a needle would be way easier then the tape. Now it comes with needles that are large plastic which i dont think would pierce the fabric. They look like crochet needles. It does not come with thread or fabric scissors. It has these tracing patterns. The pen won't work to trace them on. These patterns are also misspelled sirt. Not sure how this as the high stars. Its really terrible and it was a christmas gift.
