2 Pcs Single Side Radio Mount, Radio Mounting Kit for Handheld Radios

My only real complaint is that the mounting holes are a little small. They only fit a #6 American machine screw. I opened them up to about .17" so that I could use #8-32 screws. Spacing was an inch & 3/4. The material is about 0.08" thick & appears to be steel.It also would have been nice if they had punched a couple of holes in the opposite side to allow a screw there as well, for when you need to mount these in materials that are on the soft side and require a bigger footprint, but both of these complaints are too minor to take a full star away from the 5 star rating.Bottom line - its a good little bracket. It fits the belt clips on my radios well. It's plenty sturdy.

OK, these brackets are perfect for keeping a HT radio close at hand without falling over/off the location where you placed it. I mounted one to the back of a small end table next to my couch and it makes the radio easily accessible but without the concern of the radio falling to the floor and being damaged. I did the same in my workshop, mounting the bracket to the wall near my workbench so the radio would be handy but out of harms way. An added bonus is that one can also use a coil-cord speaker/mic with the HT and not have to worry about cord tension dragging the radio along for the ride! The brackets are a sturdy metal with a nice black finish. Mounting hardware is NOT included but that's fair as each installation situation could be different in what is needed for a safe & secure mount.End of the day I am happy with this purchase and would recommend to any ham or GMRS radio enthusiast.

I would recommend a manufacturing modification to the mounting so the mounting holes align with an AMPS mount. Threaded holes and mounting screws would make it outstanding.I drilled my own holes and sourced my own screws, nuts and washers but having this mod would be more useful, out of the box.

Doesn't come with screws. Had to use self tapping screws that didn't fit. Might switch them out at some point. Otherwise it works I guess.

First and foremost, I recommend this product. It is well made and serves its purpose. It is meant to be mounted on the right side only, unless some modifications are made. That will limit your mounting location. Between all the Ideas I have for this I was not expecting the outcome. It fits my network/radio rack! Spacing of the premade holes are perfect, but you need to do some manual labor for it to fit. With a step drill bit and extra set of hardware it worked. Now it is my handheld radio sleeping quarters!

Didn't fit a standard FRS radio

My husband ordered this for his radio, he said that it works good.

The only problem I had, was the holes were not big enough for screwheads to go through, and had to be drilled.
