This is an excellent way to turn off all your table lamps in one go. I was given the control and 3 sockets as a present and bought one spare wireless socket myself. The control operates a maximum of 4 lights. I use it in our lounge but will buy another set for our small sitting room. Love it.

this is a replacement to a set of four. One became defective after over 1 year of non use. Have all 4 up an running now and they work like a dream. NO line of sight and I can confirm all four plugs. Well worth the money if you have allot of electrical gear plugged in to sockets you can't easily reach

We have had wireless sockets in our house for over 5 years. Originally purchased a pack of three with the remote control. Couldn't be without them. Unfortunately one of them recently stopped working. Replacement purchased. Great that you can buy a single unit rather than the expense of multi packs. Programmed with ease using the remote control we already had. Great value and super quick delivery

They work well with the remote control (that manages 4 of them). They look ok and not cheap. I had four, but one died after a year, the rest work perfectly ok. So I ordered a new one. I find that the price for individual sockets is a bit high compared to the price of the whole set.

After rearranging furniture it was difficult to reach a socket, this device solved the problem. It's a shame you can't buy a single unit with a remote as that's all I needed, instead I bought a remote separately. Pairing with the remote was very easy and the device works flawlessly. Handles a 4-gang extension with a TV and set-top-box plugged in with no issues.

I have used these for a long time, I had one fail where it didn't turn off and this was a replacement. Fair price and I didn't have to replace the whole set.

Avoid, can handle little over a year of light use then stops working by which time the warranty has expired and their customer care team couldn’t care less.

I bought a pack of 4 of these Energenie sockets & remote control 3 or 4 years ago and they worked very well until a couple of months ago, when one of them just stopped working.I bought this single socket to replace the defective one and when it arrived I attempted to pair it with the remote control. Nothing. Not a sausage.The instructions state that the green button should be pressed until the red LED starts flashing, at which point the required remote button should be pressed. After multiple attempts it still won't pair with any button on the remote, although it does turn on and off if I operate the master on/off button. Not ideal, but just about useable - it's certainly put me off buying any more Energenie products
