Great shoes!
I bought these shoes as a gift for someone, and they absolutely loved them! Not a single complaint—just pure happiness! The fit was perfect, they’re super comfortable, and the style is exactly what they were looking for. It’s not always easy to pick the right gift, but these shoes were a total win. They’ve been wearing them nonstop and keep saying how comfortable they are. I'm so glad I went with these—definitely a great purchase! Highly recommend!

Great shoes but be prepared for annual replacement as the soles wear out quickly
I have worn a version of these Salomon GTX Speed Cross shoes now for about 15 years. They have been my go to shoe for hiking, trail running and walking the dog (local park nearby). I have loved their combination of comfort, support and water-proofing. The sizing has always been a bit off as I am an 11.5 in most brands of athletic shoes, but these are offered in EU 46 or 46 2/3. The 46 for me is too small and the 46 2/3 is slightly large but best fit for me. My only knock on these shoes is related to the soles. If you spend any time walking on pavement, they wear down exceptionally fast. Over my past 8-10 pairs, they last about 8-10 months and that is disappointing to toss or donate them due to the sole being smooth when every other aspect of the shoe is still in great shape. I spoke with customer service about this and they said that they are made for trails only and there is not a Salomon option that would wear better (unfortunately for me). I am trying another brand now and while the looks are not as good - the durability and water proof are excellent and definitely better. I do miss my Salomons a bit though! Pics are included for reference. I have used these shoes about 9 months and they were primarily used for local walks of our dog as I have not run much lately. Thus, disappointed with the wear.

Nice walking/hiking shoes
Great hiking/ walking shoes. They are water proof and will keep your feet dry. The bottom of the shoe is medium firm so you can hop onto sharp or pointy rocks without the bottom of your feet hurting. They run slightly narrow, I went up 1/2 size.

Speedcross is a better shoe for almost the same price (on sale)
Not a bad shoe, but considering the speedcross 5 is about $10 more when on sale, the speedcross is a significantly better shoe. Speedcross fits significantly better,more arch support, better style.. simply a better shoe. I'll not buy these again, just wait for the speedcross to go on sale.

I've owned at least eight to ten different Salomon trail running shoes in the past ten years.. About six years ago my knees gave out (I'm seventy). I've been walking and have been through four different "Sense Ride" styles and had been pretty happy with them, until their latest version. I bought a pair of Sense ride 5's here and was very disappointed. Couldn't wear them. All the other Sense Ride versions I'd bought directly from Salomon and they were great right out of the box. The ones I bought from Amazon (same size) hurt my feet so badly I couldn't wear them. Naturally I was very skeptical about buying any more Salomon shoes from Amazon. You always worry about fakes. However I took a chance on the Speed Cross Peak water-proof shoes and am glad I did. Like genuine Salomon's they were great right out of the box. Because my yard goes down to the beach and has some uneven areas I wear them taking the dogs out back. They are extremely well made, supportive, with great traction. And we're even on sale! Although since I now walk primarily on pavement so we'll see how long the more aggressive tread lasts. But for now I'm extremely happy and would recommend. They are sharp looking, very light-weight and well made. My faith has been renewed however the Sense-ride style has gone off the deep end.

My husband's preferred brand.
Every Christmas my husband asks for a new pair of Solomon sneakers. He loves them and says they are the most comfortable shoe he has ever owned and this pair is his 5th pair. My husband is an avid gym goer (5 days a week, at least an hr a day) and these shoes do stand up to wear and tear that he puts them under. He also visually enjoys these shoes, appreciates the shape of the toe box, the flexibility, grip, and arch support.

Fue un regalo, la persona que lo recibió me dijo que le quedaron super bien y que están muy cómodos. Los utiliza para ir a la montaña y dice que tienen un muy buen agarre, lleva con ellos medio año y no se ha desgastado para nada! Lo único malo fue la entrega y el envío, tuve muchos problemas con la aduana ya que me tardaron casi un mes en llegar! Vienen de muy lejos y soy de México, así que como era un regalo de cumpleaños lo entregue un mes después jajaja
