I didn't want to spend a lot of money on an expensive backpack just to try rucking, but after a few sessions, my back was aching! I was carrying over 45 lbs, and my regular backpack wasn’t cutting it. That's when I discovered these shoulder pads. They work great on any backpack, and importantly, they're thick. This thickness helps relieve the rubbing on my shoulders and absorbs some of the impact from the up-and-down motion during longer walks.When you compare this to spending several hundred dollars on a purpose-built backpack, these shoulder pads are a fantastic deal. While they may not replace a Goruck, they definitely make carrying heavy loads more comfortable. Thanks to these pads, I was able to get into rucking, and for that, I am truly grateful!

Wore these on my medium no frame alice pack straps, wore them for 3 days straight and put about 17 miles under them, worked great! Just would like some kind of way to keep them from sliding down the strap when I shifted the weight, happened a few times but no biggie. Overall felt great and worked perfect.
