Plastic Skirting Board 2.5Mtr X 100mm White Satin

Brilliant product, looks great and is easy to install. I won't use anything else now.

Handy 2.5m lengths will cover most smaller rooms in one piece and the 100mm height means it easily hides any marks or irregularities from ‘older’ wood skirting, which is normally less tall. They come with a plastic peel off layer which helps protect from knocks and grazes. The tip is to lay from a straight edge, starting on the left as you look at the wall –it’s easier to fit the corner pieces that way. The wood effect is realistic and being plastic means its easy to wipe over and keep clean. The soft plastic is easy to cut [a junior hacksaw is best] so it’s quite straightforward to apply if using a quick setting silicon sealant or tube adhesive. Comes with a black rubber seal on the bottom, but I cut mine off as it caused a gap underneath [a sharp craft knife will do the trick]. Was delivered next day so easily a ***** recommendation.

It was easy to cut the mitres. I bought the external and internal corners, only used the internals. I used a good quality white silicone to fill in any small gaps on the mitres the external ones of which I pulled together with masking tape. I mounted the skirting with adhesives. Looks good and no more painting. I ended up cutting off most of the rubber seal thingy on the bottom as it made the boards sit too high on the floor. Easy to do. Quicker and cleaner to put on than normal skirting. Would use again.

Wow how easy is this to fit! no expensive mitre blocks just a good saw to cut the skirting board and your done. I also brought the corners which made it so easy. One hour and the whole room (Bathroom) was done including a line of mastic to fill in the small gaps between the tiles and skirting. I had a friend to help fit it who is a carpenter he said he would be using them again in the future! Also no decorating and they have a wood texture look so would work in any room. One thing wish I had been able to buy something that joined the lengths together? Maybe they sell them and I just missed them as I had to cut a length to get it behind the radiator pips as it was too tight to feed it in one.

This is not as deep as I was lead to believe from the advert. Still sitting on the stairs.Illness prevented me returning it. Plus I would have to pay a second lot of postage.

Well its plastic no painting, use the corners no complex cutting use the proper glue fits fine cuts quickly and easily can remove sections in the back to fit over things. if the rubber strip at the bottoms in the way comes off easy, simple to slip cables underfor the average person makes a tough job easy
