This Fan Moves a Ton of Air!
I do woodwork outside during the summer in Central California where the temperatures are often above 100 for days on end. I needed a way to keep cool so I decided to give this fan a go. Works like a charm. I have to set it up in the shade on the opposite side of the yard because it is so powerful. Having that constant flow of cooler air makes my day so much better. (When I say cooler, it is only in the shade cooler...maybe 10 degrees but it makes all the difference.) I have taken it to pool parties and backyard BBQs with much success. Everyone keeps asking where I got it so I just send them the link.Out of curiosity I did set up the fan with the duct hose into my attic via the garage just to see how much it would affect the temperature in the attic on a hot day. It really pulled the hot air out and dropped my attic temperature down to 110 from over 130 degrees. I will be looking into a whole house fan or alternative method for removing the heat from the attic before next summer. The fan is small enough to transport and convenient to set up. I do have to agree with other reviewers about the lame method for hooking up the duct hose. I just use really long zip ties that a friend with an HVAC company gave me. Granted they are a one time use but I have a bunch. If you need/want to move a ton of air, you can't go wrong with this fan.

Noisy, but POWERFUL
This thing is pretty insane. Its very powerful, and very noisy. Aside from the noise, I have no complaints. it works extremely well for ventilation.

Good Exhaust Fan
This Utility Blower is a strong well-built exhaust fan. The duct hose is a quality hose. These things are mainly designed for the inflatable paint booths to take the paint air through a filter before coming out and through the exhaust, but they can be used for all sorts of applications. Compared to some of the others that are similar this is a bit more expensive, but it delivers in some cases twice the air flow and a longer exhaust hose. Overall, I would say it is a good product, but it does need some better design with connecting and holding the hose.

2 out of 3 things are great.
I would give the fan 5 stars, maybe even 6. The duct gets 5 stars. But the method of attaching the duct to the fan gets 1 or even zero stars. So the average is 3.6 stars and I gave it 4. Everything is great, heavy duty and durable, but the way you attach the duct to the fan body is with a fat nylon rope that choke-holds around the lip of the fan body. The lip is too low, the rope is too fat, and it is just a dumb idea. The duct has numerous rugged eye holes for hooks along the length. They should have put about 5 eye holes around the end of the duct and some simple hooks or catches to attach things together. You can make it work if you loop the rope through the handle, but it rubs on the switch. Anyway, if you buy it, plan to find a way to keep the duct from getting blown off. It won’t be difficult, and overall, it is a great product. It helped me a HUGE amount with dust mitigation on an indoor concrete slab cutting project. I'm done with it for a while, but in retrospect a small ratchet strap would probably be the best way to keep the duct on the fan.

Functional air movement
To move a decent amount of air, this seems to meet the description. Some things to be aware of, but I'm not going to reduce my rating over:The "new" smell of the tubing wad present over the 10ish minutes I had this running to test, and I was outside. That may have contributed to it since it was partly in sunlight, but I would maybe use it and let it air out before putting it in the house to exhaust from one space into another. It is noisier than other fans or small blowers I have running in our house, but that is partially expected for this style and size of fan. I think it was an appropriate noise level given the purpose of this device. Just something to point out, you will notice it running if it is inside or nearby outside.I would like to have a more secure way to attach the tube to the fan. The drawstring is fine but didn't seem to tighten down easily. It would also be nice to have a lip on the outlet side to push air in as securely as pulling sir out of the space. This functioned fine, but there was some air pushing back out of the tube so the pressure at the outlet end of the tube could have been better in this configuration. I think I have some nylon webbed straps so I might try that to see if it is more secure.

Powerful!!!!
Wow! I'm using this as a fan when I'm outside building a retaining wall. It blows so hard I had to move it 50 feet away & it was still feeling like I was standing just a few feet in front of it. Took the duct and put it in my basement door to suck the cooler air out and blow it to me. Worked FANTASTIC!! made thos triple digit days outside bearable.

Excellent high velocity fan
Um, high velocity is right! This baby blows air like no one's business. It's amazing. It is fairly loud, but that's what you'd expect from something so powerful. This is a great fan to clear the air rather quickly and efficiently. The flexible duct that comes with it is long enough to suit most needs. This fan is made so well and of high-quality parts! I'm so impressed. It is easy to plug in and switch on. Simple.I'm very happy with it.
