quality lead, first one went missing because of courier issues and they took matters into their hands decided to give them a try again and it got delivered. the lead is what it is melts good.

Considering its looking like it just came out of the forge it can't get better than this. A solid 5lb Lead ingot that you can work with and Cast with or use as a weight. Either way only paying 18 bucks with free shipping for something this weight and new is fantastic

I am using the lead as a high-density weight. As I expected, it's heavy for it's size. This will allow me to fit a relatively large amount of weight into a small volume.The one thing I didn't know before receiving the item is the exact dimensions, including the draft angles on the sides. You should provide ALL the dimensions so the buyer can plan how to use the item to it's maximum efficiency, understanding that not all buyer are planning to just melt the item down to make bullets or whatever.

Very dirty...This lead needs to cleaned before use... It contained alot of dirt and other debris. I got it up to tempature to find alot of debris floating at the top. Once the lead was cleaned, WOW!, i made perfect 50 cal. Minie balls and .454 round balls for the remington 1858 new army relover. Very impressed. I found best results is to hand pour rather then using bottom pour lead pot. Hope this is helpful for your needs.

At $16 plus free shipping for 5 pounds of lead this is a great deal. I spent days searching locally and the net for a decent price. I didn't need 5 pounds but no one had a better value.

Dimensions are definitely not right.. Don't think it will work for what I was planning to use it for..But I'm sure most people are looking at this for smelting purposes, and if that's the case then the only thing I can say is that shipping was extremely quick.

Pure lead is the best hardness for use in black powder firearms. I bought some of these ingots, and the price couldn't be beaten online.I was able to cast around 270 bullets for my .45 out of one ingot. I did need to flux it, but it was some pretty pure lead from what I can tell.

If you are going to melt this ingot, ignore this review.The dimensions of this ingot are 8 1/8" x 1 1/4" on top, 8 3/4" x 2 1/8" on bottom, and 7/8" thick.The ingot reads: "FEDERATED-FRY METALS MADE IN USA BY FEDERATED-FRY METALS"Surface finish is still very shiny- it looks like the ingot was just cast.I have two complaints about this ingot:(1) It is very severely curved like a 'U'! Resting on a table, its sits like a teeter-totter, with either end raised up from the table about a quarter inch. For my application this makes it hard to fasten down. I'll have to epoxy it >:-((2) It is absolutely nothing like the ingot pictured, which is much deeper and shorter than this long skinny, curved one.I must say, for it's size it is impressively heavy.
