I received my rhizomes August 2nd, it’s now September 10th and one is already full of leaves and the other is now sprouting. I put them in the dirt as soon as they came in. A little patience is required for these little beauties but I think it’s worth it. They require some babysitting. I received very healthy rhizomes and was excited to grow these. They are great and alive. I've tried to order some of this shampoo ginger before from others in the past who dropped the ball. But I had no issues this round. I have them in the ground and noticed they had buds sprouting from the rhizome. I can't wait to see how the do.

Purchased hoping for a viable bulb. Received 2 bulbs. One was extremely small and did not have any visible roots. The larger one had roots but both were very dry and brittle. It came with planting directions. Those were followed but nothing grew. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend to anyone wanting to actually grow this plant!

As soon as I open the package I was disappointed with the condition of the bulbs. I do not understand why someone would send a bulb or more than one bulb that obviously is already in distress when what the customer is purchasing is five legitimate bulbs. The two that were in really good condition have sprouted and I have a couple leaves on one and one leave on the other and I am really looking forward to seeing them grow and being able to divide them at some point and create a whole bed of these unique plants. I really don't think the other three will end up producing a plant.

I opened these up and soaked them (then forgot about them for about a week). Hurried up and rinsed them off and put them in soil anyways and we have baby’s!!! I really thought I killed them on accident but that just goes to show how resilient this plant is!! I’m excited to make some shampoo with them in the future!!

I received nine rhizomes on June 29th, and planted three in each of three containers at the recommended depth and the recommended soil mixture. As of August 21st, I have exactly ONE rhizome growing. It appears to be very healthy. All of the planters were in the same location, and were watered with the same amount. I'm pleased that one is growing because I can at least feel that I did the right thing.

I was in disbelief that I could grow these but I followed the directions and just a few weeks later my leaves are peeking out from the soil. I'm so excited for these plants. I can't wait to see what they look like next season.
