I don't know whether to criticize the shoe for being too large or too small - because it's both. I bought size 10, which always fits my foot just fine; however, the Durango is too short for my foot - my big toe rubs against the front - and yet too loose in the back to stay on securely when I walk. So I see no solution in exchanging them for another size. And honestly, the material seems sub par for a casual shoe costing $60. Buying shoes online is always risky, but Amazon's great return policy nevertheless makes it worth a try.

First of all if you pay more than $30 for these or Crocs, I think your nuts. I paid less than 1/2 and still thought about returning them. Just got them today I'm a 9.5 W or a 10, these were a 10 and are a little tight. First impressions not as soft as the original Crocs but not that hard. I expect that they will conform over time. Put on a year old pair of Sketchers and the Sketchers were softer. Wondered why they were tight so took out the insole and wallah they were big just like the sketchers people say are too small. Same thing. These insoles are great very thick with minimal arch support. Will see how these wear but they are a canvas fabric over a soft sole. One more thing the soles are shiny (looks cheap) and very soft I tried these w/o insoles and they were a little big but still comfortable.

This is just a strange shoe. Wish I returned them because after wearing them a few times they will remain in the closet. Feels sort of like you are walking with rubber rafts on your feet. Too big and too wide and just weird.

Love the quality of the canvas material...it feels substantial, not cheap; like the look of the faded blue color, and the soles have good grip. I docked it a star because I wear a 10 in every type of shoe but my big toe touches the end of the shoe. Will still wear but would like a bit more length. I replaced the rubbery insole with another insert and it’s better.

Very deceptive advertising. Does it fit? Yes. But the idea of Soft Science and a truly comfortable shoe, Hardly. I've been using New Balance walking shoes for some time. They are soft, comfortable, and cost slightly less.This has a hard black sole. The canvas top is made out of canvas but is plastic infused.If I walked through a store and even touched this shoe I'd walk away. But I bought it sight unseen online.

Just received a pair of the blue colored Durango to wear with blue jeans. I have only worn Sketchers for years but after wearing these shoes for two days I am in love with how comfortable and light weight they are. My only complaint is the white soles, the other colors have soles that match the upper material color. I wear. 9 1/2 in Sketchers but a 10 in these fits perfect. Time will tell how long they hold up. I just bought a pair of their lace boat shoe in the Kaki color.

Have several pairs of different Soft Science shoes, wear them out walking 100s of miles! Best walking shoes ever. Far better than old or even new running shoes for walking long distances. I wear a 10 or 10 1/2 in all other shoes but 11 in all Soft Science.

light and comfortable. i wear this on vacation, planes, to the beach and on a boat. I stood on these for three days fishing and feet loved em. They will stretch out a bit and the insoles can get a little sweaty but not real bad and they don't stink. I'll b ordering these again.
