GroundMaster General Purpose Lawn Garden Grass Seed (5KG)

Good quality grass seed, the packaging wasn’t as good this time but don’t a effect the use

Bought 20 kg about 5 years ago and sadly it is only good as bird food now . Will stick to purchasing the smaller 5kg bags from now on . It has germinated within a week and is a very attractive grass . It stands out against the rest of my weed strewn garden as lush and green .

Did what I wanted it to do

I’ve never used grass seed before and this product didn’t come with instructions on how best to use it. Did a bit of research just raked the bald patch which had no grass at all due to previous owners fire! and then water over a few weeks. It took longer to grow than I anticipated but is still growing beautifully after a month, lovely thick healthy looking and a lovely green! It’s nicer than the other grass now and I’m so impressed with it I bought another big bag for the front garden. My advice would be to not panic if it doesn’t come as soon as you think it should it took a good month, but was well worth it. I need to now put more seed on this patch of grass to get eveness, this is just to illustrate how it covers a huge patch of mud!

I am very disapointed in this 1Kg bag I bought, it was sealed in a small heavy duty plastic bag that one cut open above a resealable sipper. This made me suspicious that it was not from the same batch of seed I had bought in a 5Kg patch witch arrived in a large plastc woven bag and had been sealed by a sowing machine. Have to conced I did not weigh it which I my have done had I seen the Review that draws your attention to the fact that they receive a short measure. The seed in the 5Kg patch was brilliant sowed to on the bare lawn area that I had scarified and spred Evergreen Weed & Feed Fertilizer, then gently raked the seed in and watered it. Watered it for the next week before shoots stated to appear, they where vigerous, a nice dark green and have thikened up into a lovely looking lawn.Unfortunately I did not have enough to do some bare paches that were left so bought the 1Kg bag, NOT GOOD will get intouce with supplier.

We were a bit clueless but managed to plant a lovely lawn. We’ve used seeds from here before but for smaller area and all fine, fast growing and nice colour. Just prep ground (levelled it off and picked out stones) and sprinkled them in. Product arrived well packed and on time we will use again.
