We purchased these hinge sets to use in the restoration and use of heavy antique garden steel gates. We are delighted with the quality of this product, and we are sure they will amaze people for generations to come. They are excellent and beautiful.

We kept having a problem with the gate coming off the hinge due to the j-bolt turning. This is a great solution. Installation was easy and it feels sturdy enough to stand being outdoors.

Worked perfectly to hang a chain link gate to my wooden fence

I like the look and ease on fitting them to mating wooden gates that I bought another set to install on another pair of gates.They are heavy duty and probably more so than I actually needed but I like to build sturdy things.

Just what I needed. Installed these on a garden gate to hang on a post where I installed a corresponding "eye". Very sturdy. These are a standard size and so will fit with other parts that are also standard size. They were just right for mounting to the flat surface of a 2x4 on the gate. I did have to go and buy bolts for affixing these to the gate frame.

This hinge piece feels very heavy and will work great for the project I’m working on. It’s a very shiny stainless steel so it looks good too.

These are so much nicer than I expected. They're all one piece, solid construction (cast, I assume), meaning there are no seams or welds that would break over time. Since they're stainless, there should be no rust for many, many years to come--far longer than galvanized steel lasts. They aren't cheap, but it's an investment in not needing to replace the hinge ever again. Mine are now holding up a driveway gate, and I suspect the post will need to be replaced long before these hinges even show significant wear.

These appear to be really great gate hinges which are suitable for heavy gates. This is the male component so you need the corresponding female fixture to hang the gate. As it happens I did not use these to hang my gates. Went with 8" T-hinges instead due to space limitations. But these are great hinges so I'll hang onto them for another gate project where they are more suitable.
