I needed carpet stair treads to give my dog more traction going up and down the stairs.It took me a while to find the right size as my stairs are wider and the standard size carpet stair treads (8x30) looked out of proportion. They looked tiny and lost on the stairs. The size of these (9x36) is perfect.They are on the thin side and have a linen type look and raised texture, so they are not super soft or thick, but they give good traction and look nice and sleek, and easy to clean with a stick vacuum. I spilled some coffee on them, they repelled the liquid, were easy to clean with a damp rag, and did not leave a stain. It says they are machine washable, but I have not washed them yet.I was worried about the self stick part leaving a sticky residue, but so far it has not. Removing the protective film was easy as long as you use a swift motion to remove it.I did use the double sided tape that came with the treads and put them in the corners to keep them in place and it works. No slipping or sliding.My dog feels more secure going up and down the stairs now and I am happy with the purchase and good value for the money. Would definitely recommend these.

I recently ordered the Seloom Linen non slip stair treads carpet for our wooden indoor stairs. When I received them, my 1st thought was they are the exact color I was looking for (beige) but appeared to be thin. I showed them to my husband and within a couple of days, he started installing them. When taking the backing off the 1st tread, he started complaining about the tiny pieces of plastic film that he was tearing off. I then told him there was a certain way the plastic film needed to be peeled off and showed him. After that, he flew threw taking the plastic film off the back of the treads. No more complaining. As a matter of fact, we having a winding staircase and he was able to cut them to make them fit. Once he was finished, and believe me it didn't take long at all, and we stepped back to look at them, we were in total awe. These treads are the most beautiful treads at least on our stairs that we've ever seen. Also, what I thought was thin is not really thin at all. In fact, when you step on them, you can feel a cushion. We just can't believe how gorgeous they are. My husband installed the corner tacking pieces on the bottoms just to make sure the corners don't roll up. These treads on our stairs have never budged one bit. In fact, when installing, you can easily lift them up for repositioning. As far as washing goes, we haven't had a need yet to do that so I can't say how they'll be afterwards. For the person concerned about animals getting their claws stuck in the linen, I have 2 dogs and 6 cats and so far, they haven't caught their claws in the linen. As a matter of fact, the cats haven't even tried to knead them and they lay on the stairs all of the time. We are just so very impressed with these that my husband told me to order another set for future use if needed so I did. We just really love these treads. They don't show dirt either. I can't say enough about these treads. So if you're thinking about purchasing these treads, think no more. You can't go wrong with these treads. So very, very beautiful!! We definitely recommend them!!

Thickness and uniformity in fabric is great; quality sewn edges. Excellent for the price point. Needed something to help our Corgis with traction and safety on our log home stairs. No instructions included; website says “installs in 15 minutes”. No- not even close! The peel off film does not come off cleanly and leaves pieces behind, until you figure out a way to reduce that. First one took about 30 minutes to do! The additional little adhesive strips included are maddening to get the backings off! I finally used a table knife to help peel up and grip the backing strips off- which just immediately slip right out of your fingers and back onto the sticky strips. Seriously frustrating! They are thin so I stuck with using them, as I don’t want any damage to the wood log steps. Hated covering these stairs, but very happy with the quality and appearance. Just not the very time consuming application.

I was happy to find these extra-wide (9x36”) treads to fit our staircase. They look great and were super easy to install. The backing gripped well to the woodgrain of the stairs so I didn’t need to use any adhesive strips. We’ll see how well they hold up over time, but so far, they seem like an excellent product for the price.

They were easy to install. I let them sit flat for a couple of days before I installed them, since they were folded in the package. They adhered well and look great. Our old dog needed the traction on the stairs, and he is pleased.

We just put the treads down yesterday. Like the look a lot! Made our steps quieter… the part we did not like was the installation! It was very difficult to remove the protective backing took a long time… other than that so far so good…

Worked perfectly! They come with two types of adhesive and are sticking well. If needed, you could use a carpet stapler to completely secure without worry! I’m buying the larger rug for our landing.
