They are supplied as two boxes of two talkies, each with a battery, USB charging base (including wall plug), belt clip and wired headset.After powering up I hit the scan button shown in the instructions and the device tuned itself to a channel where a couple of people were having a conversation (I apologies and left but they were cool). I would presume if there are no active channels in range then they would have nothing to lock onto.They are easy to use and while the quality of materials and construction aren’t the best, these are budget devices and fine for a bit of fun. Given the low cost, it’s hard to fault them.
