Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is the third time I have bought this product. I have one attached to my duty weapon (for quick and easy storage in my works gun lockers) one on my JPX holster, which i switch to while inside my facility and one on my EDC. They make swapping between handguns easy and for larger guys, being able to leave the holster in a gun locker, make sitting in seats with arms much easier. I bought a knockoff version once, the lockup was weak and at times the holster would not lock in place properly. This brand is have never had an issue with that.

I bought this for my wife's duty rig, and she loves it. It makes her routine of getting ready for work easier, as well as the removal of her duty weapon when entering the jail. As a gun guy myself, Safariland makes some great stuff. I can't think of any other time you'd need this, but there's bound to be more uses for it, and it's very nice to have for the convenience of not having to remove the gun from the holster when it's not necessary.

This is a great way to use one holster in multiple gear configurations. You must have a compatible Safariland belt loop, paddle or something else to put the receiver plate on to use the QLS fork. (Out of curiosity I tried to use G-Code and Blade-Tech components and it didn't work for me.)I have a QLS Receiver Plate attached to a Safariland 567BL (black plastic belt loop) that rides on my SWAT duty belt (Uncle Mike's Kodra Ultra Duty Belt 2" wide). At first I was skeptical about the ruggedness of the belt loop but after four years this system as handled everything I've put it through.Another receiver plate is attached to my Safariland High Ride Duty Belt Loop on my patrol belt. With the QLS Fork attached to my Safariland ALS 6378 Duty Holster I can go from patrol belt to SWAT belt in a second. I have another plate attached to a Safariland standard hip paddle and in a second I can to my security duty setup.I have a fork on a Safariland 578 GLS Pro Fit so I can run my Glock 21 without a light on any of the above mentioned setups.I've never had a need to drill a plate into a piece of furniture or somewhere in my car (or anywhere else) but you can.Great functionality over multiple gear setups. Really like it. I took a star off because these molded pieces of plastic are too expensive. I get it...they work great for Safariland gear and they fit a need...but all in all it's molded plastic.
