Bellroy Key Cover Plus – Third Edition (Leather Key Holder, Holds 4 – 8 Keys) - Black

I bought this to replace my beloved Bellroy Key Case with something more slim in the pocket. It satisfies that need but falls short of the amazing Key Case when it comes to use.The Key Case uses a small threaded rod to hold the keys and you can tighten down on the keys to hold them firmly in place from both sides, it also has a lever to easily fan the keys out so you can quickly find the key you need. These things make using the Key Case fast with a nice solid feel as you turn the keys in locks.This item, they Key Cover, is slim and holds more keys. It feels great in the pocket and looks nice. However, the key attachment method is a spandex like band that holds the keys down from one side. This leads to a very sloppy and mushy feeling as you use the keys in locks. It lacks the ability to fan out your keys so it also requires more fiddling to get the key you want out.I’m sticking with it for now because it’s so much smaller but may move back to the Key Case.

This key holder keeps a few (4 - 6 only, in my opinion) organized and easy to find in a purse or bag. For women, I would say it's a bit bulky for a pocket. For men, it's a good way to keep keys from poking through pockets. Nice smooth look and feel of leather.The description says the cover can hold 4 to 8 keys but I would disagree with this. I tried inserting six keys of typical size and thickness and the case would not close. Thus the 8-key capacity is subject to the size of the keys overall. Recommended.

I tried to use this to hold 6 keys. The cover would not close, and the magnet was useless. They keys were not held in place at all, and they all immediately spun out of the cover.I have a lot of Bellroy products, and love them all. This new Everglade color is amazing and I’m going to buy other products in the color. But this cover is a miss. I can’t believe it’s the third generation of the holder- it simply does not work.

Should had listen to what people was saying about Bellroy on Reddit.I was surprised Bellroy was charging this much for this key cover. It is basically a piece of cheap quality leather glue on what feels like cardboard with a magnetic. Not to mention, the keys were held by elastic strings. Having that said, I am certain this item wouldn't last too long.
