I make bread loaves with 500g flour and 70%-80% hydration. A lot of the baskets sold on Amazon are too small for that amount of dough, especially if you accidentally overproof your dough a little. This basket works well. Personally I don't use the liner, I've never really seen the point. To clean between uses, it's easy enough to just scrape out excess flour and it's ready to go again. I like it enough that I bought a second one.

For making small batches of sourdough

The wood seems treated with something however, as it has unnaturally white layer on top and distinct smell (which isn't natural wood odor). These notes aside, the dimensions are approximately as stated and it can holds a mid-sized loaf of bread. There is a linen liner included (with elastic band and fine stitching), which makes the dough look nicer and saves a ton of cleaning, making sure to prolong the proofing basket's life, although it can be used without it. As I mentioned previously, the colour is pale white and there are visible small staples all over - the basket is sturdy and looks nice too - can be used to serve the bread as well.

I keep seeing recipes on line and finally gave bread making another go and I actually managed to make something edible for a nice change. The proving bowl I ordered was nice and big but still fit in the drawer at the base of my oven. The dough recipe made quite a sticky dough and it did stick a little to the bowl a little, but this was easily washed off after use. When I checked the dough I put some parchment under it and this solved the sticking issue. Once the bread rolls were cooked the basket made for a nice rustic serving dish and my bread was actually edible. Good results all round.
