Vibrant Green Dungeon Core
I loved the clever, light-hearted take on the dungeon core story. After Jennifer is reborn as a dungeon core, she creates a garden-based dungeon, complete with tree nymphs and flower fairies, but what she really wants is to see her gamer son again. Meanwhile her son learns that a dangerous threat to the new core lurks in the shadows. The dungeon design was fun (and taught me a lot about plants), and I loved both POV groups (Jennifer and her fairy and other dungeon denizens, and then her son and his adventuring party). I’m looking forward to the sequel.

A Druids dream book
Wow, great read. All the plant facts were actually accurate. A couple of times I had to stop and look them up and sure enough they were correct. Wonderful story and great beach read. Light hearted and fun adventure.

Enjoyed it
An excellent example of what I love about the genre, the characters have a great presence and sense of humor too!

Fantasy creatures are my favorite!
I enjoyed this book. Loved the imagination, garden fairies, and the monsters made from garden critters! Slink the worm is my favorite! I could actually see the garden as it was being created. Can't wait for the next installment!

A New View of the Dungeon Trope
I really like the interweaving of gardening into the plot. I did feel some what sorry for the Female Lead untill I realized her importance to the story. Really looking forward to a sequel.

Left a bad taste in my mouth
I hate doormat main characters. The half elf tries to say she had changed her mind but she even watched the vine attacking the mother before simply walking away. Then she apologizes and goes back to asking about the dungeon on the same page! The son hears his mother is dead and laughs, mentioning how much she doesn't like video games... WHAT!?.

What in the world?
Okay I am appalled how easily the son accepts his moms new life. At least there is some anger from the mom but then no one is sympathetic to her. They only want what she can do for them. I would watch it all burn if someone or thing took me from my child. The son has no anger towards the girl who got his mom kidnapped and basically killed!?!!! I lost it after reading how much he's into the girl. A female lead is hard to find in fantasy books and I was so hopeful I would like this book. There were other cool aspects of this story but I cannot read further because of these points.

A humorous story with buddy comedy energy
I'm a big fan of dungeon cores and was fortunate enough to get an early reader copy of this story. I enjoyed the body comedy energy and found the characters enjoyable. The adventurer protagonist is a likeable guy from Earth and the story never takes itself too seriously and never goes completely off the rails either.A good find for anyone that likes dungeon cores.
