durable and roomy
Tried several "travel" bags over the last 5+ years, and so far this one is by far the best. All the others I've used (including major brands) either have horrible zippers that break after first few uses, or poor wheels, or flimsy material that tears in transport. The Bownet is heavy duty fabric, and the wheels are large and durable. The zippers seem to be very high quality, and haven't separated or torn yet. The bag is very large, with several compartments, although some of the structure is not as ergonomic as hoped. The outer bat pocket is supposed to hold 4 or 5 bats, but the cannot all be 33" or taller as the taper of the pocket prohibits longer bats from fitting in. The main pocket has good room, and the "helmet bulge" allowes for some taller items to be put at the end of the bag without having to open the main compartment. The extendable handle is nice, and so far has not had any problems. It would be nice to have some utility pockets that are easily accessible for storing small items that you need to get to quickly, and it would be really nice to have center handles to pick up the bag with for short carries (the two handles they have are not usefully for carrying, just ok for lifting bag up. Yes, the bag is pricier than most, but you get what you pay for, and so far the quality of this is very good.

Big enough to handle everything you have.... and more
I bought this for my 14 year old son who mainly catches but also plays other positions. The main bag has three compartments.. Top one is for your catchers helmet and it also has holes for breath-ability. The main compartment currently holds his chest protector, batting helmet, catchers glove, fielding glove, first baseman's glove and a few other things. The bottom compartment holds two pairs of cleats, metal and rubber. The main compartment can still handle more stuff but for now this is enough. Additionally there is a small removable patch on the main compartment that you can remove and have embroidered with your sons name. It is a nice little touch for your son or daughter. The left side (looking at the bag) holds up to 3 bats, has a Velcro patch for batting gloves, a pocket for sunglasses (he has rec specs), a pocket for a phone or other things and other small compartments. Additionally there are two hooks on the inside where you can hang your glove and helmet instead of putting them inside the bag during the game. The right side holds his shin guards with knee savers, has a pocket for bottled water, a pocket for a phone or something else and on the inside of the bag there is a mesh pocket the entire length of the bag that we keep tape, band aids, etc. This is the ONLY thing I will warn you about. If you wear knee protectors on your shin guards they will fit into the pocket but it is a little hard to zip up. I have figured out a solution though, I take the bag down from the fence and lay it on its side and it zips up no problem. Not a big deal to me.The back has two sturdy hooks to hang on a fence as well as the left and right pockets so it is like a little (BIG) locker on the fence. Also has a telescopic handle with large wheels that prevent it from tipping over while pulling. It probably weighs about 25 pounds full but that is OK as I don't need anything else. If I ever want to go to the cages I just take the bat and helmet in a regular baseball backpack. If you are looking for a solve all bag for catchers this is it. As a matter of fact a few people who play on clubs have asked me about the bag and a few have even gotten them. It is worth it to me to have my son able to pack up all his stuff without my help and ready to go along with all his teammates. 5 star for me

Beyond worth the money!
I actually bought this for my son 2 years ago to contain all his catching gear, and help with organization. This bag has a spot for everything, so this really helps him transition from batting to catching and back again super quickly, because there is a specific spot (it’s legit a mini closet) for each piece of gear. Even two years later of travel baseball, through tons of games and tournaments, this bag still looks brand new despite dirt and dust all over. The wheels aren’t wearing nor is the bag, compartments or zippers. I would buy this bag again in a heartbeat!

This thing's a beast!!
This bag is an absolute beast! Son started catching this year (11u) so needed a bag that could handle all the additional equipment. Looked and looked but kept coming back to this one. I loved the rigidness and how it could stand on its own while others had no chance. I almost got the smaller Cadet bag until I realized that both wings are bat sleeves whereas the Commander has a giant sleeve for shin guards on right side which was a huge "like" for us. Pulled the trigger on this one for that reason and have recommended it numerous times now. Half way thru our season and still holding up great! If anyone is wondering, he currently keeps his batting helmet, 2 bats, larger weighted sleeve, full catcher gear with knee savers attached, 2 fielding gloves, sunglasses, my glove, his cleats and a few miscellaneous things in it. Only "wish" is that the side pocket with shin guard sleeve was slightly deeper to make zipping with all equipment a little easier but hey, we love it anyway! Awesome bag!!
