Worked great! Had no issues on the drive. Drove from California to Georgia. Checked the straps every stop and tightened down as needed. No issues with weather. Held a lot of clothes but can be used for anything else. Zipper was concealed under a flap of thick material! Easy to install!

I read the reviews and decided this was the carrier for me. Whatever they give for instructions is awful, as many people mention. I ended up having to watch YouTube videos to properly install it. Eberything was secured, velcro was placed as it should....It was fine until I drove through a heavy rainstorm....when I got to my destination, the inside of the cargo bag was SOAKED. Shoes ruined. Photos that were in ziplock bags ruined. Do NOT busy this item if you're planning on driving through rainstorms.

I used this to secure luggage on the roof my 2016 Chevy Mailbu LT, the car has no roof rack. I had to make a 24 hour drive across the country from Maryland to South Dakota. I cut the trip into two 12 hour drives and it stayed secure, on top the whole way despite stormy weather with rain and high winds. A small amount of water did get inside the zipper, so if the wind is strong enough the weather flaps will get loose.It loses a star from me since it does not come with instructions for cars without a roof rack. But if you look up DIY guides for similar products and tie it to the roof well enough, it should stay put just with the straps it came shipped with even without a rack.Great product. So long as whatever your carrying isn't easily water damaged or sealed in a bag/container, it'll work just fine, with or without a roof rack on your vehicle.

Plenty and I mean plenty of space. Hard to work with while cold but kept luggage safe and dry.

We bought this but decided to keep a different one.

I bought this for a 5 day cross-country trip with a rack-less car.It came with two single sheets of the same instructions for rack-usage, no instructions for rack-less cars, and that was it. The instructions in the Amazon listing didn't help at all.There are numerous straps that seem to have absolutely no purpose, and nothing was labeled or looked like the photos from the sheet I had, but what would I know, I didn't get the instructions I needed.Before getting on the road, two of the plastic tensioners snapped and broke while being tightened.While on the road, the straps came loose multiple times, because tightening them more would snap the plastic tensioners, but even the amount I tried to tighten the straps tore the stitching from the fasteners on the bag itself.I got some unexpected rain, and the bag leaked, soaking several things inside, despite being "waterproof."This thing is trash, don't buy it.
