I paid Amazon for the whole series one. I'm being doled out the episodes....
I do not like that I purchased Series 1 from Amazon Prime, yet I am restricted as to when I can view the next episode. I am informed that I will be emailed when I am allowed to view them. Hello!!!!!???? Is this because I am in UK? I'm well vexed. This is a brilliant series, by the way; and I am well read inthe novels of the fantastic Ms Rice V""V

Intriguing
This series were intriguing and engaging but not mind bending as I would have loved. Good series nevertheless, not worth buying it though in my opinion, I only tend to buy those which I absolutely love but each to their own.

MAYFAIR WITCHES SEASON ONE DVD from AMC
If you enjoyed "A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES" and "INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE (2023) then chances are this will be your cup tea (blood?). My wife has read a lot of Rice's novels and really enjoys the genre (mostly). The trailer on "Interview" intrigued us and here we are. The DVD is good quality obviously, good picture, sound and subtitles. Why 3 stars? That's me really, except my wife did agree...that it is confusing - back and forth intime, little or no explanation of what is going on, some poor acting (miscasting? Jack Huston? not exactly new to the game, but he failed to convince me as some sort of devil? ). Appalling "Scottish" accents in the flashbacks to the first "Mayfair" witch (the scenes are filmed beautifuuly and are full of atmosphere.I just found it very hard going. However, as this just my opinion I am certainly in the minority here, but for 8 episodes and no extras it does seem a bit expensive, currently "£28" If you feel it's worth a go, chances are you won't be as disapointed as I was. Hope not anyway! (P.S. No it is not set in Mayfair, London...just in case you thought it was, which of course you didn't!

Didn’t work for us.
The series had great designs and production values but I found the first few episodes rather tedious and far from involving. The actor playing the demon didn’t work for me one bit and seemed to have had a charisma by-pass. The pace was languorous to say the least and after 3 episodes we gave up. Still it might have improved later but life’s too short to find out when there are much better series available. The blu ray was well produced with excellent sound and image.

Impressive Telling Of The Mayfair Witches Story
The flashback scenes are great in adding to the story line in this series. The stories of Anne Rice opens to the world the New Orleans of both the real world and all of ideas concerning the fabled city. Gothic views of the city along with the events both past and present add so much to the story of the Mayfair Witches. The cast does justice to the characters which makes it seem real. The views and happenings of the city gives a great addition for a person who has never been to New Orleans.
