I bought this because I wanted to get into drinking coffee, but I didn’t want to spring for an electric maker just in case I couldn’t make myself like it. It’s beautiful and easy to use. I recommend looking up good instructions for how to brew using a French press as this didn’t really come with tips for how to brew. That would’ve been a nice touch, especially for us newbies. But the packaging is really pretty and it comes with a nice little bag to travel with or whatever. It’s really a very lovely set. I’ve started using it just about every day and have even started using it for cold brew now that it’s becoming too hot for hot drinks. Now, my reason for 3 stars: my glass beaker came to me cracked. No big deal because it’s glass and these things happen. I didn’t actually notice it until I was brewing because it looked like coffee was leaking through the bottom of the the metal holder (I was being impatient/lazy and actually just rinsed the whole thing out with warm water prior to use rather than giving it a full wash, otherwise I likely would have noticed it before I used it.) I really didn’t want to return it because I already loved it (and used it), so I set out to contact the company to request a replacement beaker. Here’s the problem: there’s no way to contact them here on amazon. They also don’t have a website or a phone number (at least that I could easily find). What they do have is a Facebook page. So after having to track that down, I started a Facebook message with them. You don’t actually get to talk to a real person at first. It takes you through this programmed dialogue. I explained what happened and sent pictures. The bot told me I would hear back from them within 24 hours. 24 hours passed and there was no response. I decided to shrug it off because it was a weekend. It took 5 days for the bot to follow up with me and ask if everything was resolved, which of course it hadn’t been. There are prompted responses again, so I have to go through the prompt before I’m able to leave a detailed message. The bot asked if I’m just waiting for my replacement to arrive...which, of course I was, but none of my information has been taken so where would they know to send it? So I tell them this and again I’m told to give them 24 hours. 4 days later, still no response. Now, I’ve worked in customer service a good chunk of my life, so I try really hard to be reasonable and polite especially knowing how difficult the general public can be, but after nearly 2 weeks it’s easy to lose patience. So I sent them a message saying how disgusted I was with their customer service. 8 hours later, a real person responded saying they were very sorry and embarrassed that somehow my messages were never seen. I sent her my info and I received my replacement in the mail a few days later. So I’m satisfied with the outcome, I just wish it wasn’t so hard to get in contact with them. I really hate leaving less than perfect reviews, especially when it’s simple human/machine error and everything that was needed to be done to rectify the situation has in fact been done, but I really hope Cofina will see this and maybe find a way to make it easier for their customers to contact them. Bottom line: If you think you’d love this press, you probably will and you should buy it. I do really love mine. But if something goes wrong, you may have a bit of a frustrating time getting in touch with them.

I will only use a French Press for my coffee and this one is perfecto! The handle is very comfortable, when the 4 mins are up and its time to press, I have to say it is the smoothest push I have ever had, what quality! plus it is stunning and i love the scoop and spoons. This would be a superb gift for a coffee lover , they will never use anything but this French Press believe me! The coffee comes out perfect with NO grains at all and they even give you 2 extra filters... seller you did a great job best french press and offer I have ever had Thank you!

Beautifully designed and well made French press. Have only used it twice but seems to hold heat well. Should this change or any problems occur in the near future I will update my review. Set includes coffee press, two extra screens, one coffee scoop, and two long stirring spoons. All of this is packaged in a burlap sack and box. Carafe also came bubble wrapped. Well done Cofina! My only complaint is how Amazon packaged my purchase. Amazon used what I consider a too small box. The Amazon box contained an additional item I purchased which caused the box seems to bulge. No additional pading was used. I was worried my craft would be broken. Here is the perfect opportunity for Amazon to include bubblewrap or air bladders but they did not. I have purchased small singular items which were sent in over sized boxes with 12 feet of bubble wrap. No fault of Confina.

There is not a detail that Cofina did not consider. The design is lovely... just beautiful really. The size is larger than most. It is well made, and the packaging was beyond reproach. You will make a big hit with this as a gift because the presentation is surprisingly nice. Included are also wonderful utensils... 2 long handled stir spoons and a very cool coffee scoop that doubles as a coffee bag clasp. I've had this item since Christmas and enjoy it every day. I am a gardener so the leaf carafe design was also a selling point. I am VERY PLEASED!!

I waited a few months before forwarding this review and I'm happy to say both my daughter and I make coffee regularly and we enjoy using this coffee press. I ordered this particular one due to the good looking vessel the carafe sits in and it is easy to keep clean. I have no issues with excess coffee grinds sifting into my cup of coffee so the filters work well and are also easy to clean. Of course with any glass container one should be mindful to handle gently even if it advertised as durable. I appreciated the extra filter and the two spoons as well. I can't speak on the customer service since I've not needed them, but I hope thier company continues to produce more great products and remember that customer service is as important as well for continued sucess.

A truly beautiful french press. I appreciate the design and lovely "extras" that the press arrived with (burlap travel bag, coffee scoop, and adorable spoons). I also appreciate that the interior of the metal frame has no exposed hardware; my last press had exposed screws that rusted rather quickly, leaving rust marks on the glass carafe. The assembly feels sturdy and fits well together, the press works smoothly, and it brews a mighty fine cuppa. The press arrived intact, on time, carefully packaged in a lovely and decorative box. Customer service is excellent too; a company representative reached out after my purchase to make sure it arrived intact. A few design features I'm not wild about: (1) The plunger knob screws off rather easily, which makes it very difficult to unscrew the press assembly (screen / crossplate / spiral plate) for cleaning. An attached knob would be useful for gaining purchase. I may remedy this with some Loctite or nail polish on the threads. (2) The interior of the press lid is plastic, which is prone to both breaking (this happened to my last press) and leaching endocrine disruptors into your brew (especially if it's hot). (3) The included screens lack reinforcement around the center hole; I anticipate they will fray over time. Those concerns aside, this is a solid and lovely functional piece worth displaying and using with pride. Very nice for the price!

The Cofina Press arrived the very next day after I ordered it. I don't know why I waited so long to get one of these, I have a Kerug, but wanted something that made an espresso and not being able to fork over the $900 or more dollars to get a really nice Jura I decided to go with a press. Boy am I glad I did, the first cup was so delicious, I can't wait for tomorrow morning to have another. The packaging was absolutly sturdy and beautiful, they included a nice card that entails detailed instructions on how to use the unit, which I am grateful for as I've never used one before so that was handy. The detail on the casing just makes this little unit very pretty so I don't mind having it sit on my counter. I am in love with this thing. If you are considering a Coffee Press get it, you won't be sorry.

I really love this French Press. I bought it last year for my husband for Christmas and have used it so much! He uses it for his hot coffee and I also make cold brew with it for myself. It's easy to use and maintain, however, this morning while I was emptying the glass carafe to clean it out, the bottom broke through. Admittedly, I was probably being a bit too rough as I was in a bit of a hurry. I would love if the seller would be able to contact me privately so I can buy a new carafe for this press! It is a great product and I love being able to make a quality cup of coffee with it.
