Q: Where are these made?

Made in China. Amazon shop says importer is in Holland. (Side note: Pelican brand makes tumblers in USA but not in wine glass shape as of today.)

Q: How does stainless steel effect the taste of wine ?

I got mine specifically for the pool and have only had dry whites and champagne in them. I have not noticed any negative effect on the taste although I do prefer to keep the lid on so it doesn’t feel like I’m drinking out of stainless steel. Definitely better than drinking out of plastic that doesn’t keep your wine cold.

Q: Can you freeze them to chill the wine?

Yes, I did; but do not put the plastic lid on while it is in the freezer.
