A bit disappointed that the pictures inside are not colored! Otherwise a nice starter book.

The quilt on the cover is amazing! That being said, had I known the entire book was black & white, I would NOT have purchased it. Very disappointing. I check the "Look Inside" before I buy "how to" books, I was really so struck by the cover quilt that I didn't notice the 3 or 4 small photos(not of the quilts) that were shared are black & white. I assumed the book would be awesome and full of colorful, beautiful quilts, especially since it's $20. My fault, I know. Just letting you know, ALL photos inside are black & white and the 13 patterns are variations of traditional blocks! Save your money, it's better spent on fabric!

Elsie Campbell has written a devilishly clever book that will appeal to quilters who love finding simple ways to make blocks and quilts that look hard to make. I bought this book for the pattern that is on the cover and was not disappointed. She has discovered a way to make triangular blocks that are more foolproof and certainly much faster than those constructed with the usual methods we are presented with. In addition to the cover quilt there are two other patterns in the book that I definitely want to make (I usually consider myself lucky if I find one pattern, let alone three, in a book that I genuinely like). Bravo, and highly recommended.

Book did not have any patterns I want to make. Sorry I spent my money on this book. When selling an item for almost $12 please don't leave the large $6 price sticker on it unless purposely saying "I got you!!".

I will be taking a class with Elsie Campbell, and wanted to understand her approach better beforehand. This book has clear instructions, beautiful photos, and opportunities for inspiration and personalization. I plan on following several patterns in this book to make some heirloom quilts!

I bought this book hoping for some interesting and challenging patterns. I was disappointed that it is written for a very young beginner. There were no patterns that interested me.

I like it. My sister-in law and I are looking for a shared or similar table runner project, and we just may find one here.
